Is that true for every current ray-traced game? In other words does any game currently use DXR?

Are these cards going to be able to run the ray-tracing effects in games already out, like Control? Or is Control, and other games, using Nvidia's proprietary code? The only reason I would want to upgrade right now is to see how ray tracing looks for myself.

Man this show just is a pleasure to look at, on top of just being nice relaxing entertainment. And really you don't want to think about this too much, as for example the first thought that comes to my mind is why is he killing so many animals man? The mudhorn and now this Krayt dragon are probably rare/endangered species, and neither have been overly aggressive onto people. Not to mention each tribe probably lost more people fighting the dragon than if they just avoided it through use of some early warning system - as the damn beast isn't very stealthy.

Any Android or Apple device should do the trick, when you load the Steam Link app, and you would preferably want something that you can connect with an ethernet cable to get maximum bandwidth and minimum latency. With a Shield 4k you have the option of either using Nvidia Gamestream or the Steam Link app. Roku won't work, and I think you'd have to sideload the app on a 4k Firestick--plus the Firestick is wireless which isn't ideal.

We'll have to see about RT performance. But pretty much AMD has the 3080 sandwiched between a cheaper card that appears to be just as fast and a slightly more expensive card that should definitely be faster.

The 3000 series basically just beefed up every thing - rasterization cores, tensor cores, and Ray-tracing cores. There is a slight efficiency improvement to the tensor and RT cores, that perhaps might get even better with optimized drivers.

Sneaky little detail on this slide, you have to be on an all-AMD system as they have the overclocked Rage Mode and Smart Memory enabled. So this should be RDNA2 absolutely maxed out as far as it can go, pending any driver improvements.

Three X's is the perfect balance, though.

Your motherboard manual should tell you which PCI-E slots get disabled when you use an NVME drive, because they typically share the same PCI-E lanes of one (or more) of the slots and all of those lanes will go to the southbridge, which can only handle so much.

Fuck I'm just as worried about corporations and businesses taking advantage of the situation. The dude wants to de-regulate environmental protections.
