  1. Luke chooses to save Han in ROTJ. We all know he feels about Leia in ROTJ. He then chooses to train Leia as a Jedi despite knowing how intimate she is with Han. And, come on, both Yoda and Obi-wan told Luke not to try and save his friends because he wasn't ready. They told him to sacrifice his emotional attachment, he didn't listen, and it turned out he made the right call. Luke would never, for real, give someone the choice he gave Grogu. It's purely forced plot. The only way it makes sense is if it's a diagnostic test - he's legitimately curious what Grogu would do - but nothing really suggests that so far. Still not too late for the show to take another swerve, though.
  2. Eh, we already saw why Luke quit the new Jedi Order and it was a pretty compelling reason without the need to rehash the mistakes of the first Jedi Order. I can only hope that it is indeed more of a test, instead of an ultimatum, for Grogu. But the way it was acted, perhaps because of the CGI and voice limitations, and all of the dialogue leading up to the moment, I did not get any sense that it was a *wink wink* test. I will stand by my belief that Luke would never teach the new Jedi in that way, because the last thing his dying father said to him was, "Tell your sister you were right [for choosing attachment and believing there was good in me]."
  3. This was a fun episode, but..... I vastly prefer the visual callbacks in the previous episode over the numerous dialogue-driven callbacks of this episode, because some of the lines just feel shoe-horned in. Also I'm pretty sure Luke would never teach the ways of the Jedi in such a manner. Luke himself chose attachment in ESB and ROTJ, and in TLJ recognizes that was a reason the Jedi Order fell in the first place. And in general the way Luke and Ashoka are being portrayed, or acted, is very stiff and detached. It's mostly Luke's voice that is giving me the uncanny valley effect, but I don't get why Ashoka is so one note.
  4. So the shooter who's obviously speeding gets upset when someone else goes faster than him.
  5. From my personal experience I've never liked Spotify's algorithms. Every other service I've tried I've liked better, and Apple has a decent one. They use itunes on Windows and the Android app is fine.
  6. Obviously Trump should take credit because he was president for the few days of the beginning of the year of the largest economic growth in history.
  7. I like how they decided to show a little restraint with the callbacks by not having Mando shoot at the womp rat in beggar's canyon.
  8. Fucking hell, the technical properties if NFTs made absolutely no sense to me for the longest time, but the fact it requires crypto to mint one just put it into perspective. And I honestly thought they had enough allocation to store a file the size of a picture, but apparently not.
  9. "You can play any Acti-Blizz game on Playstation, but all the cool skins will be Xbox exclusive." For all for sub-18 year olds out there, that's Game. Set. Match. It was available in black too.
  10. Everyone should avoid this card. It's bad. -performs 30% slower on pcie 3.0 -no video encoding or decoding -its pcie 4.0 performance is barely better, usually worse, than older cards that released at this price.
  11. That would be a straight up retcon, or maybe more fitting for an alternate universe Thanos, because in the MCU Thanos snapped away half of all life, including animals, while a Celestial's birth requires only sentient life.
  12. Oh crap, I should just stop watching trailers altogether. Not only do I dislike having scenes spoiled, but the first big trailer did everything possible to make the movie look like a Dark Knight clone. But after watching part of the newest trailer I am at least relieved to see it will be pretty damn different, aside from the commonality of grittiness.
  13. Holy crap, I have HBO Max and had no idea it came out. Did this have 0 advertising? Never even got recommended to me.
  14. The most egregious excuse to force a spectacle has to be the Sarlac pit, though. The scene is cool in its own right, but I have a hard time believing Boba thought his armor was still in there. He had 5 years to think about and research its whereabouts before deciding to go fetch it, not to mention he knows he used it to escape.
  15. The show is definitely taking it's time to relish in callbacks and explain every little thing that happened to Boba between ROTJ and Mando. I hope most of that is done so it can focus on the present day.
