  1. That's cool, didn't realize it was digital.
  2. I think the problem is just most SP games just aren't worth the price of admission. So people generally don't want to buy many of them, so I'm return developers don't want to make many of them. That's not to say most are bad, it's just things like CSGO and R6S are not only cheap, but they are games you can play for years and years and never get bored. Bethesda is in this unique place where their single player games ARE played for years and years. Look at how old Skyrim is, and how high on the Steam charts it is. I think we'll see even Bethesda start to calm down on SP games soon though. The reason why TES and Fallout do so well it's cause how much content is in the base game, how much gets added with expansions, and then the metric fuckton of mods, as well as the scale of the mods that come out for these games. Rage 2 isn't going to be something tens of thousands of people will be playing 8 years after it's launch, but TES6 probably will be. I don't think people are against something that you play by yourself, they are just against paying 60 dollars for a game that gets you 10 hours of fun. In a world where the top played games are fun to play everyday, cost nothing at the low end, and 30 bucks on the high-end, why would you want to want to spend a lot more money on a lot less game? Bethesda is never going to have to worry about TES and Fallout. I do think we will see games like Doom and Rage become more MP focused. Doom worked because it was a pure old-school game done well. It was refreshing in a sea of bad CoD like single player FPS games. How long will that last though? How long until the next Doom game is just the next Doom game?
  3. All it's done is made the internet even more toxic and hateful. It's like YouTube comments that people actually care about, for some reason.
  4. I never knew how much of a geek iJustine was until her recent colabs with these tech people.
  5. Looks like Ford has come a long way with the interior of the Mustang. I like the tachometer.
  6. Repos or just overall couldn't actually afford it.
  7. ... Wait really? And people get pissed at the shit I say?
  8. To be fair, the forge we got is by far the most powerful customization tool outside of modding tools. It's probably for the best. Chances are it would end up being the primary thing being developed, and it wouldn't be as good as the sea of BR games we already have. I'm not against the idea, but not if it's going to be the primary focus.
  9. Future tragedies as in spelling errors, or future tragedies as in Gearbox releasing another game?
  10. Wait what the fuck? Why is he calling him a pedo? Is there missing context here, or is he just having a break down?
  11. Pitchford was jacking this game off for years as being perfect. If anything, he'll try and say they intentionally left the typo in because it made the game better.
  12. Nah it was better when it involved men. More funny to see them try and really their way out of it, and at least it was consensual.
  13. Yeah but Gates is gonna donate effectively all his money when he dies. I think that's at least sightly redeeming.
  14. Eh. I dunno if I fully agree. I think a lot of people had the same ideas he had, they where just more realistic about when it would be possible. It's why the Apple III was such a disaster. I think plenty of people knew the future of computers should be silent, they also just knew that the technology to make that happen wasn't here yet. I think he was good at seeing what was a good idea, the problem there though, was almost all those ideas where something someone else came up with. He just took the idea and marketed it better. Yeah I fully agree. I think a certain level of worship can be okay at some points though. Not to the extent either of them are, but enough to keep people motivated to do what they do. If tomorrow everyone forgot all about who Musk is, I think he would also stop trying spur of the moment things (like that submarine) that could maybe help someone. If you are motivated by ego (like most of these people are), will you keep trying to be known as the person who saved the universe when people stop worshipping you for trying to save the universe? And I fully agree. I think the people doing the real work deserve much more recognition. They are the ones making it really happen. Yeah, can't say I'm really against feeling that way.
