Commissar SFLUFAN
PC is now Ubisoft's most profitable platfrom (PCGamesN) Quote Ubisoft saw 34% of its net bookings on PC for the quarter, up 10% from the platform’s share a year ago. That puts PlayStation 4 in second place at 31%, followed by Xbox One at 18%, mobile at 7%, Switch at 5%, and ‘others’ at 5%. Ubisoft reported a ten-fold increase in sales of The Division 2 on Uplay once the game was removed from Steam and made a "co-exclusive" with the Epic Games Store

That’s a savvy move. Also highlights what kind of trouble Valve is in if things continue down this road.

Brian
Quote On PC it’s only around five to seven per cent of the players who pay for F2P, but normally on PC it’s only about five to seven per cent who pay anyway, the rest is pirated. It’s around a 93-95 per cent piracy rate, so it ends up at about the same percentage. The revenue we get from the people who play is more long term, so we can continue to bring content. - yves 2012 Games Industry International I guess this means Yves conquered Piracy in less than 7 years. AbsolutSurgen
I am not sure the writer of the PCGamesN headline understands the difference between revenue and profits.
JPDunks4
I remember when the discussion around the Raid was brought up, it was said that PC was probably by far the largest market and bigger than the console market. Granted those numbers cover all Ubisoft titles, it still looks like Console at 49% vs PC at 34%, console is still their biggest market. Now with the Just Dance titles and some of their other offerings maybe being far larger on consoles than PC, maybe a game like The Division is a more even 50/50 split.
