Doesn't look like too many exciting games this week. Anything stand out to you? Maybe watch baseball instead.

I don't get trading that much for McCaffrey.  He's barely played the last two seasons due to injury, he's a running back, he's getting paid like he is elite, and it's not like he has been lighting the world on fire this season....

Abs, he is a nice piece when on a good team, but no, I just wouldn't give up that much for him.  Additionally that cap...oh man that cap.  This is not a 1 season rent a player because you are that close to a SB.  Also SF is already a team that gets the best out of its runners.  It's like if Amsterdam decided they needed to find someway to import pot.  A play maker, who is great on dump offs and a good runner, but if your team is good at drafting that is three important pieces you are giving up in 2023.

I’ll give you injury risk, but he’s way more than a running back. He has looked dynamic this year, he was pretty much entirely Carolina’s offense with very little help elsewhere.

Now you put him in Shanahan’s offense built for space with Deebo, Kittle, Aiyuk, etc…

It's not just his injury history.  He has 6-yers in as a RB -- there are very few rushers who continue to deliver at a high level after that many years in the league.

If you're giving up that many picks, he needs to be productive at a very high level for several years.

If you're a top-5 team, and MCCafferey is bringing you over the top for a SB -- it would probably be worth it.  I personally don't see the 49ers in that class of team -- they have a puncher's chance as a playoff team, but probably not more.

An elite defense will always give you a shot and the NFC is wide open. Niners are probably #2 behind the Eagles to get to the Super Bowl as of now.

Their biggest question mark is injuries.

Tua before the game: I need to learn to take sacks and go down

Tua during the game: I give no fucks and lowers the shoulder while running down the field.

Indeed.

Tua is undefeated in games he has started and finished this year.  Absolutely will give him that, too.  The illusion is not the Dolphins starting 3-0 or being 4-3.  It was the the three straight losses to 3-3.
