Slug
Wow, Saints. Back to back drives ending in a pick 6 then your returner trips over the 13 yard line. This was the lulziest 3 minutes of football so far this season.

AbsolutSurgen
I don't get trading that much for McCaffrey. He's barely played the last two seasons due to injury, he's a running back, he's getting paid like he is elite, and it's not like he has been lighting the world on fire this season.... 1

Abs, he is a nice piece when on a good team, but no, I just wouldn't give up that much for him. Additionally that cap...oh man that cap. This is not a 1 season rent a player because you are that close to a SB. Also SF is already a team that gets the best out of its runners. It's like if Amsterdam decided they needed to find someway to import pot. A play maker, who is great on dump offs and a good runner, but if your team is good at drafting that is three important pieces you are giving up in 2023. I’ll give you injury risk, but he’s way more than a running back. He has looked dynamic this year, he was pretty much entirely Carolina’s offense with very little help elsewhere. Now you put him in Shanahan’s offense built for space with Deebo, Kittle, Aiyuk, etc… Shannon Sharpe Shannon Sharpe Drinking GIF - Shannon Sharpe Shannon Sharpe Drinking Fox - Discover & Share GIFs TENOR.COM Click to view the GIF

He has 6-yers in as a RB -- there are very few rushers who continue to deliver at a high level after that many years in the league. If you're giving up that many picks, he needs to be productive at a very high level for several years. If you're a top-5 team, and MCCafferey is bringing you over the top for a SB -- it would probably be worth it. I personally don't see the 49ers in that class of team -- they have a puncher's chance as a playoff team, but probably not more.

Niners are probably #2 behind the Eagles to get to the Super Bowl as of now. Their biggest question mark is injuries.

Keyser_Soze
I'd be more worried about Carolina. They're just giving all their talent away. They just fired the coach, so it's like they aren't even a football team this year.

Indeed. Tua is undefeated in games he has started and finished this year. Absolutely will give him that, too. The illusion is not the Dolphins starting 3-0 or being 4-3. It was the the three straight losses to 3-3.
