legend Posted August 2, 2021 Share Posted August 2, 2021 The word was used by some people in a way that wasn't intended to be derogatory to gay people, I think he is right about that. He's wrong that this is some sudden change; that perception that it was okay because *you* didn't *mean* it as offensive to gay people was largely corrected quite some time ago. It seems weird that Matt only learned this now, but he's a huge celebrity; should anyone really be that surprised that he lives in a bubble where people are not as quick to correct him?
