We teach it over here as a learned skill - clearly it’s not worked. It is interesting about why the country cares, I think it ties in strongly with British values and the communal spirit of the initial lockdown, then it was blended with a good bit of social/mainstream media fury - and the fact as a country we are small, politics still can feel very personal. To the point my bosses, bosses, boss is one of the key cabinet members of the current government. It all feels very ‘close’. Also, as a government they’ve performed shockingly and this is a wonderful excuse to rage against that particular political machine.

So, there’s a chance that we may see the demise of Johnson today. Sadly, I think he’ll survive a vote if no confidence, but even now, can he really be a leader with a divided party?

I always feel so disappointed when they have the English guy on, he has such an irritating voice, to the point I’m not listening this week.

Kirby and OoT today. I’m also going to be a good husband and on the last day of my holiday, with my wife at work, I’ll download any CP2077 updates so she can get back into it on our, now, not horrifically loud PS4.

Ditto. I’m also good at carrying things so I could do that.

Hopefully someone high up in education where I can have influence, work-life balance and a reasonable ride into retirement.

Biting my nails. I’m much better at not doing it now, but when I’m stressed, then I can say goodbye to them.

Through necessity I either do my exercise between4-5pm, after work and before I get home, or 4am - 5am, before anyone gets up. Neither are ideal, but it happens. At my fittest and strongest, I was lucky to be able to do all my training between 10am and 12pm, then have a nap in the afternoon as well which was amazing.

It looks good, will be fun - I’ll be buying. Here’s hoping they go down the Naughty Dog route and just make your companion fine on their own.

First run since the above, 5.5km and it felt glorious, along with 20 minutes of yoga. Setting a few new personal goals but one aim is to run a 10k under 48 minutes, along with a few, generic strength goals (50 push ups, 10 pull ups, 3 minute plank) to get to before I start proper S&C training in July.

Bought a screwdriver set, some compressed air and so w Q-Tips and cleaned my PS4 fan for the first time in…6 years? It wasn’t pretty but it didn’t instantly sound like a jet when I switched it on, which was nice. Still a bit of noise with Yakuza 9 (digital), but I didn’t have to turn the volume up, it was just a present noise.

I finished The Odyssey. It was enjoyable for what it was, though I can see about the debate of the ending. The final 6 pages were pretty awful and if a child in my class wrote a similar conclusion, I’d ask them to redraft it. Now, onto Blood Meridian. Well, I say onto, I’ve read the first 21 pages and I think two people have already been murdered, so that’s nice.

Just don’t let them.

All suggestions have been taken on board. So far, the plan is: Monday: clean house, go watch Dr Strange, clean house Tuesday: write end of year reports for school and finish planning for first week back. Wednesday: Tidy up attic and throw away things we don’t need. alongside that, Reading, gaming, snoozing, and what ever comes up…

Still OoT. Hoping to get to the Forest Temple tonight if all is well in the word. Quite liking this idea of a summer, Zelda binge. My wife is a huge Zelda fan, so we can just pass along as we fancy.

Only allow bullets to be purchased, used, and disposed at gun ranges. Make it illegal to own a bullet. For professions that need them, limit the type/size allowed. Gun enthusiasts still get to own weapons, people less likely to be shot. Tell me how wrong I am.
