  1. I’ve played a bit of Skyward Sword HD. Unfortunately, it’s in a faffy bit where I’ve had to collect some spirit things, then get another thing, to go through an area to find a dragon, to be told to get another thing. None of it has been overly fun either. At least it all leads to some quality dungeon action. Update: completed the ancient cistern - have to say the boss was a walkover using ‘normal’ controls. Now back to some more faff. Also played a bit of RE3, Nemesis appeared, I died - I’ll come back to it. It’s definitely a game that would benefit from being completed in one go - if only to remember how to get about the map quickly. A few days off and I’ll be damned if I know how to get to the Subway Office.
  2. Did a day of teaching online - it could have been worse. Half day tomorrow then some planning time in the afternoon. Really hope I test negative come Sunday.
  3. On this topic, I remember actively not playing my PS1 because it used to take forever to actually play a game, with the endless splash screens and old screens. OoT however was quick N64 screen, title screen, a few presses and then you’re in.
  4. I mean, there’s lots to choose, I’d go with not having an HDMI input for the Wii because, why not.
  5. Nah mate ima top geezer not some soppy prick Sure I’ll be fine.
  6. So far, it feels like a cold with a bit of a cough added in. If I hadn’t tested positive- I’d be working as normal.
  7. Just tested positive for Covid-19. Sad as it puts a huge amount of pressure on the people I work with and I’m worried about giving it to my family. Plus side, I’ll be working from home for the next week or so (unless I feel horrendous) and I can teach my class from home.
  8. I’ve now just got to those rapey bugs and died. I’ll go again tomorrow.
  9. Rugby would be the closest, but nothing odd. Running Rugby Reading Games
  10. Played the opening of RE3. It was cinematic and if I’d never played a video game, would have been intense. That said, I’m looking forward to a streamlined RE experience, especially as I only spent about £13 on the game.
  11. Lord, middle of March and here is my first post. Spiderman B+ Me as a teenager would have loved this and would have 100%’d it. Me now just wants really good, 6 hour games. April: Skyward Sword B A great game that controlled well, but despite what the game thinks, nothing feels overly epic. I do feel that the final ‘dungeon’ paved the way for the Shrines in BotW however.
  12. Less a commercial, but my friend has the N64 promo video on VHS, that we must have watched about 100 times.
  13. Shockingly more Spiderman. Three missions to go so I’ll try and polish off a few more tomorrow and see it through on Saturday.
  14. I think indifference. I remember when I was in high school, a guy died in a car accident. He wasn’t a nice person when in school, bullied people I knew and overall seemed unpleasant. I had empathy for his family (his brother was a year younger than me), but I wasn’t moved or impacted by him.
  15. I don’t say it out loud…but she sleeps about 10 hours every night (7am to 5am+). If I had my way, I’d be asleep by 8pm but, bonding time with my wife, some leisure time, or work has always stymied that plan.
  16. On my right side, left leg over, single pillow. 6 hours later wake up and wish I could sleep another 3 hours. Repeat for eternity.
  17. I mean, Apple Arcade isn’t even that great sooooo
  18. To make it a bit more local. Oasis - Heathers Chemistry By The Way - RHCP both still quality.
  19. The my literally collaborated with them until the 11th hour then shifted over to Panasonic. It’s a pretty dick move. Update: Philips
  20. This weekend is all about sorting our house out - but I’m vaguely hoping I’ll be able to finish Spiderman today. I also sort of fancy playing some retro games this weekend, so maybe some SNES.
  21. My wife rips the absolute puss out of me when I play Overwatch after one time a load of kids were on mic. Now it’s always ‘Playing the child game again?’
  22. Change of tact and ended up reading a book called The Ghost in three days. Really entertaining, well paced thriller. After all the news about it, I’m going to read Shackleton’s Boat Journey, which we have for some reason. I was looking for something to read and I’ve got about 9 books I’ve acquired over the past few years I haven’t even looked at.
  23. My daughter is coming up to 18 months old and in that time, I’ve managed to play through a number of games but find that my time playing is dictated by the following: She’s asleep I’m not shattered from life There aren’t any daily jobs to finish (tidying, cleaning etc). My wife and I haven’t planned on watching/doing anything else No work to prep for the following week For me, that either means I can get in maybe an hour in an evening every so often, or the odd weekend stretch. Definitely gone are the days of playing Halo 3 online for 6 hours at a time. How about you?
