I'm sure that will get a mention - I just hope we don't get another 20 minutes about Smash! -

I think they said NES first, other systems to follow. They said 20 games day 1, but have only named 10. I would love it if the other 10 were SNES games... -

I think so. We need to know what the other 10 games that come with it are. -

A lot of red cards today, be interesting to see the highlights later. Big win for Arsenal, they needed that. -

They make nice ham. Football team hasn't been decent since the days of Brolin. -
General Gaming Anyone buy Shenmue 1 & 2?
JosephManderley replied to best3444's topic in The Spawn Point
Had both games on Dreamcast, liked the first one, barely played the second. At the time, the first game was great. Doubt I would enjoy it now though. Not excited about remakes, or 3, too much time has passed. -

I think Mourinho is a problem at Man Utd, but not the only one. They are a central defender, a fast wide player, and a striker short of competing for the title. I think Liverpool will finish above them. -
Football Premier League 2018/19

What you have to bear in mind, is that the Premier League is a higher standard than the World Cup. Every team is full of international players, and they train and play together all the time, rather than the occasional get togethers international teams have. A top Premier League side is made up of elite players in their positions, selected from all over the world, not just one country. Pogba can be World Class, but was he even close to that against Brighton? No. Inconsistent. -

With the possible exception of the keeper, I don't think any of the current Man Utd squad are world class. Some of you might say Pogba, but he is too inconsistent. I see Pogba and his agent are having a bit of an argument with Scholes, which makes me laugh, Pogba should dream of being as good as Scholes was for Utd. Out wide, Man Utd have always had real quality. Giggs, Ronaldo, Beckham, Kanchelskis... Nobody in that class there now. Up front, Cantona, Van Nistelrooy, Cole, Rooney... Now they have Lukaku! He can't do it in the big games. I am an Everton fan, I watched him terrorize weaker defences at Everton, then fall over his own feet with the goal at his mercy in big games. Teams used to fear Man Utd, most sides would consider getting a point against them to be a bonus. Not any more. -

I used to post on a small forum a few years back, one of the members was a bookie from Lithuania. He would occasionally post the results of some matches from minor European leagues before they kicked off, telling us the result was 'arranged'.... -
I am moving home tomorrow, and will only have internet on my phone for a week or two. I will pop in when I can, but I might not be around much. Have fun!

That West Ham v Arsenal game coming up is going to be make or break. Both sides lost the first 2 games, losing a third would be brutal. -
When I was about 11 or 12, I was hopelessly addicted to Football Director on the Spectrum. I played it most days after school. At weekends I would go to my friends house across the street after breakfast and play until the evening. We quite often had to restart, as saving games to a cassette and them actually working next time was a lottery! I recently played this again, thanks to emulation, and all I can say is Wow! I sure was easy to please back then. The game play is so shallow. There were no tactics included at all, just pick the players with the highest skill out of 10, and pray to the gods of RNG. Games have come a long way!

It didn't stay 2-0, but Arsenal did lose. Did you win the bet? I don't see Arsenal finishing better than 6th or 7th this year. I wouldn't be surprised if the likes of Everton, West Ham or Leicester finished above them and pushed them out of even a Europa League spot. -
Nintendo Switch ‘Test VR Mode’ Reportedly Uncovered by Modders
JosephManderley replied to TwinIon's topic in The Spawn Point
I think it's most likely being experimented with, but I don't think we'll get it until either a revision with a higher resolution screen, or a successor. Even a 1080p screen (which I could imagine being used in a Switch revision) would be at the low end for VR, So I think we will be waiting for a long while. If the VR fad fades as fast as 3D did, then I doubt we will ever see it. -

No surprises so far. Man City and Liverpool both brushed aside their opponents. Arsenal have a tough start, they already lost to Man City, they have Chelsea next, then West Ham. If they don't win at least one of those 2, then the new manager is going to be under pressure before we even get into September! Wolves looked decent against Everton, who also looked good, even before they incorporate their deadline day signings. Newcastle struggled, and I think Rafa will be the first manager to leave this season. He's clearly not had the financial backing needed to progress, I think he will walk. -

Didn't realize until today, there is no VAR in the Premier League this season.
