  1. They patched the Switch version of My Time at Portia, which fixed a lot of bugs, but introduced some new ones. My game keeps crashing, where it didn’t before the patch. Played the same day 3 Times yesterday because of crashes. Will wait for a patch to fix the patch. Going back to Pokemon and Stardew Valley I think.
  2. I have gone from, interested, but not that excited... To day one purchase! Looks great fun, so much to do!
  3. Finał puppy count from Rosy is 2 alive, 2 stillborn. No picture yet, will take some when I get home from work.
  4. Rosy has finally given birth. First puppy was fine, next 2 were stillborn, one of them had deformed legs. My wife has taken her to the vet now to see if he can help the 1-2 Puppies that have not been born yet.
  5. It is, but she is so small, and was underweight when we got her. (She still is a little). So I think that is why?
  6. I could go the rest of the year without buying another game, and I would be OK with what I have. There are more good game than I have time to play them.
  7. A quick picture of Lily and her boys I grabbed just now. Still waiting for Rosie to give birth.
  8. (Switch Version). Trees you chop down, and rocks you break, should eventually respawn, but sometimes don’t. If you notice this, sleep to save, then close the game completely. When you restart the game, don’t choose continue, choose load game, and pick the most recent save. Trees and rocks will be back. They are going to include a slider to let you select how fast time passes apparently. https://www.team17.com/my-time-at-portia-update-coming-to-consoles/my-time-at-portia/
  9. I agree, it is definately a fun game you can sit and lose a couple of hours playing. I use the workaround to cope with the respawn bug, and apart from that it is fine. Once the patch hits, if it fixes the known bugs and adds the ability to slow down the passage of time, making each day a little longer, then I will be delighted. I am already over 30 hours in, so I feel I have got my money’s worth.
  10. The charity we adopted them from is going to help us find good homes.
  11. Lily with her 2 boys, Blondie and Brownie. Rosy is due to give birth any day now!
  12. My wife and I adopted 2 dogs a couple of weeks ago, they had been rescued from a puppy farm where they were in horrible conditions. The larger of the two, Rosie, looked pregnant, which a trip to the vet confirmed. 4, possibly 5, Puppies due. The smaller one, Lily, was very thin and shy, and we were concentrating on getting some weight on her. Imagine my surprise on waking this morning, to find Lily, giving birth! 2 Puppies, both boys. Only 1 visible in the picture, Brownie.
  13. 25+ Hours into My Time at Portia. Enjoying it despite the bugs. There is a big patch coming in a few weeks with bug fixes, QOL improvements, and content from the PC version that was missing from consoles. I know as soon as the patch comes out, I will restart the game, but still playing on regardless...
  14. Starting to find a few bugs now, hoping the patch comes sooner rather than later. For example, you can kick trees to get loot from them. Even after I cut down a tree, days later, I still get the prompt to kick a tree that no longer exists... Also, I have started getting coins randomly from things like breaking rocks. I checked a few fan pages and this is a common bug. A trip to the ruins got me a couple of hundred Gol, on top of the normal loot. Nothing game breaking so far, but signs this wasn't tested as well as it should have been. I think they rushed to get the Switch version out alongside the other console versions, and it probably needed a bit more work. I still like it though.
  15. If I had to choose one today, Stardew. Mostly because it has had a few patches and updates and it is quite well polished at this point. As much as I am enjoying Portia, it is definately rough around the edges. I have read there is quite a big patch coming in a few weeks, this should make a difference. Even with it’s imperfections, I am about 10-15 hours into Portia now, and it is alot of fun once you get into it and things begin to click.
  16. I’m on my 3rd left joycon, so unless they improve the durability of the thumbstick considerably, non-detachable controllers are a red flag for me.
  17. I thought that about the Zelda-style stamina wheel as well! I am not even worrying about trying to get stuff done fast. Unless a mission has a time limit, I do it when I can. I hope the interactions get more interesting as you get to know the NPCs better, like in Stardew for example. The cat seems to hate me.
  18. I am about 5 hours into this now, and it is growing on me. Playing on Switch in handheld and it is running fine. I can see myself putting a ton of hours into this, it reminds me of playing an MMO solo in some ways. Pleased with my purchase, this is a solid game.
  19. Spent a little time on My Time in Portia. I play only in handheld mode, I don’t have a TV. I made sure to download the day 1 patch (heh!) before I started, but the initial boot of the game still took ages! I thought my system had frozen at first! The game itself runs acceptably. There are some loading screens here and there, but they don’t take too long. Not played enough to have an opinion on the game itself yet, but it’s got me interested enough to want to go back to it later.
  20. I will post and let you know this evning after I give it a try.
  21. I know the feeling, I have 4 dogs, all of them from shelters. Caught one of them Chewing the power brick for my laptop recently! On topic, My Time at Portia is unlocked, so will start it after work.
  22. So I pre-ordered My Time at Portia, It's downloaded, ready to play on 16th. Anyone else?
