  1. I've always enjoyed a good From puzzle boss. Also wailing on weird creepy little kids throwing occult literature at you violently is pretty epic.
  2. And yes, I meant rhe yellow NPC summons in the Radahn fight. The reason why they're important is the 2nd phase meteorites and other bullshit-ass OHKO moves he has. If you keep your distance during that, he'll target an NPC with those shit moves.
  3. So in typical fashion I figured hey...let's try one more time this morning after a few Hunt: Showdown matches. I did not realize you can summon the dead AI helpers again after they die............ Shoot me.
  4. No. I did too while typing it. It aint funny really but...I've seen the kid and he's a little shit who's ugly as sin so it is kinda funny.
  5. Yea I just can't beat Radahn no matter what I try. Is he mandatory or can I skip him? Taking a few days off from the game, that boss fight just got me real close to throwing the controller and that's pretty pathetic. Looks like I'm relaxing with some Hunt: Showdown
  6. Damn that's a tough one. I mean I was way into games but back then like an hour, two hours was a lot of time spent gaming to me. We didn't have crazy-ass time sinks like online shooters where 100 hours is still training mode either. My coworker's son went nuts on him one time and attacked him for hiding the router to get him to stop playing (Fortnite). Kid threw a fucking controller at his head and apparently went full Exorcist. No more console and therapy was the result. Wild
  7. So while it's nowhere near as brutal as say Demon's Souls, it definitely ramps up later into the game and I've found myself getting into some situations where I got ambushed or similar and lost a good chunk ultimately. Especially in an area like Caelid. My favorite part of the way Elden Ring does it is that we're back at DS1 where you can be 100% in the world the vast majority of the time by being able to do everything at the bonfires. If it's one thing I've really disliked ever since after DS1, it's been the mandatory hub worlds to level up and constantly take me back out of the world. Granted you can quick travel a lot but I tend to not do that.
  8. It's all 100% From-ish to the core. Even the fantasy names. I know he supposedly did something but you'd have to point it out and then convince me after.
  9. Country is being bombed to shit and nobody's even looking at my hardship of having to get a fucking vaccine, man.
  10. Somehow this was apparently schedule for a 2022 release and has now been delayed to 2023. If anyone at all was expecting this in 2022...
  11. Oh yeah, when enemies go into that parry stance...do not lol. That's when I back off and hit them with magic or an arrow typically.
  12. Dude I've been playing these games straight for like a decade+ now and I still have no idea about a "build". I pump levels into stats I think are useful for what type of weapon I like to use and a whole lot into health & endurance...that's about it. People definitely do builds and all but I really don't think you should worry about that kind of thing on a first playthrough. I know it can make the game harder at some points but I don't know, I have yet to hit a point where I'm like "fuck my BUILD!". I like Magic and Dex weapons so I dump my points into that, that's all. Edit: But I agree, it IS a complicated game but also remember it's just a game and you're supposed to be having fun. And gladly, Elden Ring is the most lenient so far in terms of what you actually have to engage with vs. what's optional. A lot of that complicated shit? You don't HAVE to use it if you don't feel like it.
  13. Putin appears to put out the fire and is promptly face-fucked by a rabies-ridden pack of coyotes while he's also on fire.
