  1. Speaking of PS+, I finally played Superhot and it was equally great and a total bummer. I really thought I was still in the tutorial by the time I was apparently on the final level. What a great concept and not a whole lot to do with it.
  2. Eh I personally think social media is garbage and I'd rather not be involved.
  3. I haven't had any social media at all unless you count posting on D1P and Discord for Hunt: Showdown for about four years now and the whole concept feels almost alien to me now when I see people so caught up in it. Like I mean in media etc., seeing people sit in bed scrolling listlessly and all that and I absolutely did that. Not to mention the insane levels of anxiety having to worry about/interact with/appease literally hundreds of people at once. One wrong word in any direction? You're an asshole now and so on. I already am an anxious doom-thinker, I can't have that shit on my shoulders on top of it. Same goes for a constant stream of doom news and political drama, I just am not built for the arguments etc., I don't get off on that like so many people I know seem to.
  4. Also seriously some of the weirdest music choices I've seen in a while. And I like ALL those songs! Just... they have literally nothing to do with anything and add nothing. Hearing Black Sabbath randomly at the end of one of those made zero sense. It's jarring.
  5. Finished it... How they crammed even more boring, confused walking around into the last episode is beyond me. Some real bed-shitting going on here.
  6. No seriously, the repetition really stands out to me. It's like the show constantly retreads the same type of scene and actions and it's frustrating. It's an INTERESTING show but there's a lot about it that squanders my good will and interest. Also, the characters are essentially mostly the same and we see their "path to the revelation" the same way several times. We don't need to see the same "oh lord what is happening to me 🤔" with trap doors and cabin rooms and flashbacks over and over in detail. Funny thing is this show makes me think it would've been a way more interesting 2-1/2 hour movie or something. I'm about to watch the last episode and it really spent a monumental amount of time on the exact same thing. It essentially was revealed what was coming by the end of EPISODE FUCKING TWO and if you boil it down, by end of Ep 7 the plot really hasn't moved forward. We're still at the same cryptic hodgepodge of details without going further up the ladder of the mystery. It's like they took a great Twilight Zone or Black Mirror episode and big brain'd it into 8 tedious hours.
  7. I'm watching episode 6 and man, this show really needs to get off its ass and into gear. They are draaaaaagging this out. I cared about these characters but not each one of them needs the same ultra-slow revelation with lots of confused walking around. It's one of those shows where I just want to start yelling WALK FASTER at them constantly.
  8. Btw, Franz's line delivery in German is...pretty bad. Kind of stilted and cheesy. Not a fan of that actor. He's like German Kratos. Krautos if you will.
  9. Like...accidentally? Because yea. How many times Franz suddenly appeared to understand Norwegian (??) out of the blue was impressive. Also captain yelling in English and the entire lunch room is like "RARARARA" and suddenly understands some entire manifesto of revolt.
  10. Just finished episode 5 I think and the more it goes on, the more I lose interest. It's been starting to feel dragged out with too many scenes of dramatic yelling and soft weeping and characters magically understanding each other when it suits the plot...there are no peaks and valleys either. It's not bad but I'm just kind of growing tired of it. Also don't really like where this has been going story-wise (without spoiling anything). And again, I absolutely hate that opening intro lol. I can't hit skip fast enough. PS: Why does nobody ever try to point, use their hands or whatever to communicate!? They just shout at each other in whatever language followed by a shot of others staring. It's frustrating in some weird way.
  11. It's fantastic and really unique. You really should try it.
  12. Think of it like Souls games when they first hit. In my eyes Returnal is that fresh in terms of it being its own videogame "language". I know that spunds pompous but it's one of those games that pulls from everywhere and creates its own unholy concoction almost completely. It's not really a game to just beat to me, it's like if Metroid Prime and Silsnt Hill somehow had a baby with Contra in an arcade or something. It's all about moment to moment gameplay like those old games. Once I beat it, I think I played another 90 hours lol
  13. Tough one that always changes. I will say the latest addition is absolutely Returnal. It's kind of everything great about gaming in one package.
  14. The way they phrased it, the dev I mean, is more like "people liked it in Dead Space, asked for more but we were already done with the content so we're putting it into the DLC stuff". To summarize I mean not verbatim. There's a tweet about it. I legit think this is a case of clickbait headlines framing it like this when in reality it seems more like them having DLC stuff already in the works, fans asked and they've added more animations to those packs. There was gonna be DLC either way is what I mean. Not that I'm PRO DLC but I think this is essentially "more skins in skin pack".
  15. Yea I mean Disco Elysium was fucking amazing and it's more like an interactive novel or something. Also, nice on Signalis. I forgot if I had asked in that thread if you had any theories on the story?
  16. About to buy Callisto Protocol if that counts as lately
  17. White Rabbit especially is extremely cliched. I mean I like all these songs, especially Child In Time by Deep Purple, but it just feels annoyingly out of place to me. It works in certain films/shows but here, it just pulls me out of the mood.
  18. I think I was on a high from The Autopsy and relatively cool first episode when I initially said this was great. The whole series took a sharp downturn for me after that. The HP Lovecraft episodes specifically were a major letdown and I'm surprised considering Del Toro seems like a huge fan. Dreams... especially was fucking stupid. They all clearly had a great budget to work with yet the majority of the episodes were, like you said, annoying or didn't go anywhere in some capacity. The one with the beauty cream was stretched out way too long and ultimately annoying as well.
