I will say shopping for a gaming laptop over the last two weeks has been kind of a frustrating experience. Maybe it’s always been this way and just nature of the type of device but it just feels like with the technology we have today there aren’t the combinations of size, tech, and display that I would hope for, no matter the price. The exact laptop I would like doesn’t exist so then it just became a matter of which one annoyed me the least. I get there is only so much power you can get out of a 14” frame but more oled and micro led options would be nice. I was lucky enough to be able to overpay and get this restrained 4090 that should be like a really fast laptop 4080 (but with an extra 4gb vram!) so I’ll get the power I want in the size I want at least, but it’s definitely over paying and otherwise I’d probably have just abandoned the entire idea right now.

Yeah psvr2 would actually be a good deal for the headset if it was on pc. The problem with its price is it’s this ultra premium product that is for a system with a base of customers that typically aren’t buying the ultra premium so it’s in a strange place.

All caught up now and ready for the finale but my Dad wants to watch it together so I’ll have to catch it next weekend. Definitely an all time great season of tv (though that could be said for s2/s3 perhaps but this has just been masterful)

Agree with all of the graphics comments including the Dragons Dogma remark. This is what made me disinterested in playing much of MGS5 more so than the story which for me was a let down also because I was a fan of the previous style, but the environments were so borrrrrrring. The core gameplay is fun, I won’t argue that, but I just didn’t want to be in that world at all so I bounced.

Man I got Super Mario Galaxy 2 looking right in 3D with nreal off of steam deck and it looks so damn beautiful. It’s the one Mario platformer I haven’t beaten as I had totally moved on from wii when it came out. I’ve emulated the first couple levels over the years on various devices but it took a bit for there to be a handheld powerful enough to run it well and I kept hoping Nintendo would port it. So it’s always been this bonus available 3D Mario I never played waiting for me and I think this might be the way I finally play it once I get a laptop because in 3D you pretty much have to switch to native res of Wii to run it in 3D at 60fps on deck. But now with nreal I can just play off a laptop and get the same comfort and experience as a handheld. Gonna be good.

I keep getting interrupted. It looks amazing on n-real too, so that’s a good idea to play soon. I’m for some reason focusing on completing this Mario Sunshine play through lately! Taking forever because some spots are fkn hard

I came into this conference wondering what Sony has in store past Spiderman 2 for ps5 and for psvr2 in general. They managed to maintain that excitement of the unknown after the show ended so I consider it a solid show for fans of mystery.
