THANK you. I don’t get why people have it so high in their rankings. I was so bored my last watch of it. And I know my ranking is wayyyyy off from most people’s which is why I love providing it!

Im 41 and not like a huge fan of any of the movies. I like the video games a lot more than I like the movies, of which none I think are particularly great movies on their own. So for me I treat them all more like video game adaptions. I thought 2 was most interesting because it had a lot of lore and detail into the politics of the universe and helped fill in some gaps in my knowledge with the games. 3 for similar reasons, but it seems to have a little more action so I rank it lower. I like 6 because I really like the Ewoks and think they are cute. 4 is a pretty good start to the franchise and I have a lot of nostalgia for that one and it reminds me of the original Disneyland ride. 8 is probably the closest one to an actual great movie. 5 is pretty boring and nothing really happens but it has some cool set pieces and I like Hoth. 1 feels like a continuation of ep6 tone wise, like a family movie, but jar jars are not even close to the ewoks. It has some fun moments though. 9 was hokey and pretty bad but it had some cool force stuff and I liked that Luke had a prominent role. 7 was just too much a worse remake of 4 so the most worthless and pretty boring throughout.

I used to do every year but then I switched to every two years, with this being my longest now at three years. But yeah the main thing is I just want decent battery again. If it really is a 6x optical zoom though, that would be really nice for my vacations.

My phones battery is pissing me off but I decided to go iphone again and also I want a new apple watch (mine is a 3 and seems to have issues charging so I’m not using it) really badly but I need the new ones to come out so I can give them money. Well after three weeks Zotac finally got me an RMA# and was kind enough to let me pay to ship it to them. They received it and now I got an email to please allow 30 days to process. Oy. I’ve been really happy that I at least have my laptop. I don’t think I’ll be buying Zotac next time.

That fact that a fringe minority of right wing extremists are able to dictate the laws and path of the country is a big part of the whole problem

Series S is also downgraded to hell and back to hit that 436p. FSR2 is not built for that low of an internal res. I don’t even count ultra performance dlss to be a real option to play a game and that’s substantially better than fsr2 in ultra performance mode. They need to find a better compromise and keep the internal at least at 1080p or go 30fps. Some people still over here wondering why we could ever need pro consoles too lol

I hate dark mode

The combat in this IS very mediocre. It doesn’t have a super solid feel to it, it’s flimsier than say, forspoken. It’s almost like the Hogwarts Legacy magic in first person but you are more mobile than in that at least. A double jump and some light platforming keeps the moment to moment more fun for me than it otherwise would be. The strange world, which I actually find to be quite unique in its particular mix of high fantasy and sci fi, the graphics, and the story are definitely the reason to play this one. The rest is just serviceable. I think the world is surprisingly well done for the first entry of a franchise from a brand new team. I think it’s worth people checking it out on a sale for that. If you want a good meaty gameplay loop, look elsewhere. It’s a shame actually that this is surely bombing hard and will be the end of this universe they built. Edit: I think they do themselves no favors by giving you the three types of magic all at once. Normally I prefer starting with more options but there just aren’t enough other tricks to keep the combat fresh. If they built it around one type then expanded from there I think the combat could have felt less repetitive throughout.

Or maybe amd IS finally adding AI/ML to their gpu architecture and fsr3.5 on pro consoles WILL work for 30>60 :ooo They won’t be ready even if they are finally working on it, and no way will the way fsr3 works ever be good enough for that, but maybe in time for next gen! Some developer is going to try using the driver level frame gen and fsr2 on current gen consoles to go from like 400p/30 to 4k/60 and it’s going to be beautiful in an abstract art sort of way

dlss3 isn’t so bad at taking 30 to 60 already and 40 to 80 is more than fine so it’s not really that pie in the sky. On AMD, unless they start investing in AI, then yeah probably will never happen
