The difference between a 3080 and 3090 is barely 10% at 4k, if you get something like a 3080 FTW Ultra that’s pre-OCed, now it’s ~5%. They really don’t have any space to make a 3080 Ti be “in between”, except VRAM and cuda cores; performance will really have to match the 3090 to justify the expected $300 over the 3080.

What last gen game do you guys think benefits most on XSX? 360 game? I booted up RDR2 and was disappointed that it’s exactly the same minus load times Halo 3 on MCC looked insanely better.

Each state is different in regards to deadlines, but federally it’s more-or-less the “Monday after the second Wednesday in December”, which would be 12/14/20 this election.

By that time I expect the market to be better saturated since AMD will have their cards out too. If a 3080 Ti is indeed coming, I expect 3090 performance with less cuda cores and 12-16gb of VRAM.

So, this just arrived:

I noticed that if I use the iOS GamePass app to start a game download, the XSX turns on. With the Xbone and XboneX, they would stay off in their “idle/fast boot” mode and just dl in the BG without actually turning on. Odd decision from MS here

You absolutely cannot grasp it from a YouTube video. It would be like trying to understand the benefit of HDR on an SDR TV via an offscreen recording of a TV displaying HDR. When AC Odysee bounces from 45-55 fps on my GSYNC monitor, it’s unnoticeable and stays smooth the entire time. If I didn’t have an fps counter in the corner, I would have no idea the framerate even changed. Going from VRR to non-VRR is kinda jarring now.
