Call of Duty is the biggest piece of video-game-original IP. ActiLizzard is the largest publisher. What could be bigger than this?

You may be right. My twitter feed went from lots of people complaining about it, to people mostly saying it was now working...

My kids are much older now, and unfortunately don't have nostalgia for the games they played at that age. Thanks for the suggestion.

If they restart Steam, it should work.

And Cars 2. Those were some of my kids first Xbox games they played... (and me, with them)

I played it on PC, so can't comment on the console versions. But, relative to other games of 2019, it look decidedly "meh". (Other than the wookies, which looked horrific.) IMHO, earlier big budget games (such as Assassin's Creed Odyssey) looked noticeably better.

I don't believe it is. I think people are assuming it is, as some Respawn employees were hiring last summer for a project that they claimed was on UE5.

To some degree. The housing market has been going up significantly in the 13 years since I had left (more than doubled in value) -- yes, it did get much worse in the pandemic. There is SOOO much to do on this house. I've also put in a new AC unit, a new water heater (tankless), and re-insulated my attic. My whole house has 40-year old parquet flooring, and I just pulled up 20-year old carpeting from my stairs (and have bare pine showing). I would have been OK living with someone else's finishes for a while.

Football and Hockey are the two sports I think are better live. Football -- because you miss so much of what is happening on TV. Hockey -- because it is so much faster in person. [I think auto racing is an experience everyone should have, but you miss too much of the race in person.] I recognize I am in the minority here.

When we moved back to Canada in '19 -- we were forced to buy a "fixer" due to the ridiculous housing inflation in Canada. We've redone the windows, siding, eaves/gutters, lighting on the upstairs level and 2 of the three bathrooms. (Doing almost all of the interior work ourselves.) Fortunately, the city just re-did the electrical/sewer/roads/sidewalk and dug up half our driveway -- so we ended up getting the rest paved for C$1,600.

I was looking at similar size TVs at Costco -- and am waiting for the same thing. We're redoing the Master Bath shortly, and the Kitchen comes next.... So it may be a couple more years...

I got one a couple of weeks ago during their sale -- It's a big improvement over my old IPS panel. Quality of monitor is at least as important as power of GPU.

DLSS works much better at high frame rates and resolutions, which is why I am skeptical of how well it will scale to things like a Switch 2.

The tax advantages of owning vs. renting in the US are quite large. That's another area to look into.

Booted this up today between meetings to see what it looked like. Locked at 160 fps 3440x1440 with all of the settings turned up to max.... Nice.
