  1. They consider the loss of competition to hurt local consumers -- that is a big part of what they consider.
  2. Companies that currently can't get CoD are willing to sign a contract that will give them access (Nintendo, Nvidia). Companies the currently have it, aren't interested (Sony, Valve).
  3. The store on Appleby Line shows one in stock -- you're in Oakville, right?
  4. I can't imagine anyone signing this agreement that doesn't already have CoD. Their preference would be for MS not to own AB.
  5. I don't jump between story based games either. I finished up Control, and decided that I didn't want to continue playing the DLC. Started playing Marvel Midnight Suns during the free weekend, and despite a VERY slow start, I'm enjoying the combat a lot. IMHO, Developers are not doing themselves a bunch of favours by requiring players to spend 5 hours of mediocre gametime before opening up the "good stuff" -- had this issue with both Control and MMS.
  6. They didn't need to freeze the bank accounts of people all across the country to do it. That's the point. They didn't need the emergency act to clear up the demonstration, and the evidence showed that the police told the government that it wasn't required to initiate the operation that cleared the downtown core.
  7. The SN770 is relatively cheap and gives you 2TB of storage that is significantly faster than what you’ve already got.
  8. ‘Sloly is incompetent’: Justice minister discussed Emergencies Act early in convoy - National | Globalnews.ca GLOBALNEWS.CA Transport Minister Omar Alghabra is also on the witness list as the inquiry digs into Ottawa's decision to invoke the Emergencies Act in response to the 'Freedom Convoy' protests.
  9. The local police weren’t sympathetic. They were in competent. The Ottawa city council is one of the most left wing in the country, and they hand picked a “progressive” police chief. Who turned out to be incompetent.
  10. My 17-year old Pioneer Elite Kuro plasma still has zero burn-in -- despite me being told at the time that burn-in on Plasma is a huge issue. I have a AW3423DWF monitor -- and I am not all that concerned. I do mostly gaming on it, so do not expect burn-in to be a huge issue.
  11. Two legal challenges were raised -- that are not bound by this inquiry. And, of course, they, in large part, challenge the indiscriminate freezing of bank accounts -- which this judge found the action to be "deficient".
  12. So, after about 5 hours the game gets much better. That first 5 hours is not great Not because the graphics, VA, acting or story gets better -- but because the ratio of gameplay to story gets much better. And the gameplay is pure Marvel "Slay the Spire" -- and Slay the Spire is a great game. I ended up buying it -- despite the frequent crashes to desktop in the Abbey. [And yes, I've tried the fix where I boot the game avoiding the 2K launcher.]
  13. FULL TEXT: Commission 'reluctantly' rules Trudeau justified in using Emergencies Act NATIONALPOST.COM Justice Rouleau delivered the Public Order Emergency Commission's verdict. Read the full report and his statement on the verdict On the origin of the Freedom convoy: On their demonstration: On the decision [emphasis mine]: On the situation: On the powers used: TLDR: So Rouleau, the person handpicked by the government finally found that the government's decision was reasonable (but agreed it could be interpreted as unreasonable as well). In addition to this, he suggested the situation could easily have been avoided, if not for government incompetence. And that the decision to freeze people's bank accounts -- the act that most people had issue with -- was "deficient".
  14. @Spork3245 is suggesting you ones in the US. This one is a heck of a deal, and will outperform your motherboard. WD Black SN770 2TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD | Canada Computers & Electronics WWW.CANADACOMPUTERS.COM WD Black SN770 2TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 2280 Read:5150MB/s,Write: 4850MB/s SSD (WDS200T3X0E) I would suggest getting this one if you're thinking about upgrading your MB in the near future: WD Black SN850X 2TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD | Canada Computers & Electronics WWW.CANADACOMPUTERS.COM WD Black SN850X 2TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 2280 Read:7,300MB/s, Write:6,600MB/s SSD (WDS200T2X0E)
  15. The MB I purchased in 2016 had 2 M.2 slots, so if you've purchased your MB over the last few years, it should have room for some. Keep in mind, that specific one is a PCIe 4.0 -- which may be faster than your MB will support.
  16. Listing fees have been widely reported as ~30% for most publishers -- although I assume that some are able to negotiate lower numbers. But for Switch, which is dominated by Nintendo published games, this is less of an issue. It's is more the cost of digital distribution vs. the cost of physical distribution. One would think that Nintendo would make more on their games that are published digitally.
