  1. I'm going to echo what Skillz said. Some worlds I just love coming back to. Some of my most played games: Knights of the Old Republic - This is the one that started off this trend. I've probably played through this about 12 times. Mass Effect Trilogy - This is the king of the hill. With whatever flaws each game has, I still adore this series and I've replayed them like crazy. Easily 20 times each for ME1 and ME2 and probably about 8-10 times for ME3. The Last of Us - The story is just so fucking good. Probably been through this about 4 times.
  2. Abstract Studio: Strangers in Paradise XXV #5 DC Comics: Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #50 Image Comics: Death or Glory #4 Oblivion Song #6 Unnatural #2 Marvel Comics: Domino #5 Exiles #6 Fantastic Four #1 Old Man Logan #45 X-Men: Blue #33 Valiant: Bloodshot: Salvation #12
  3. I had a brother of a friend put one together. Thousands of games + Kodi. SNES style controllers, so everything doesn't work perfectly, but man, it's identical to the originals. Those tinny sounds!
  4. It must warm some American's hearts to know that you haven't completely cornered the market on sub human pieces of shit. And their names! lol.
  5. Outside of Wonder Woman, Man of Steel is easily the best DC movie out of their connected universe attempts. That's not saying too much, obviously. It probably falls at about a 7 for me. I'm certainly not as hard on it as some, as Superman isn't even close to my favorite character, but the second half of the movie is a little inconsistent with Superman's character and was a bit of a disappointment. For the most part, Warner Bros has felt the need to rush and to try and beat Marvel at a race that doesnt even exist. They literally have no idea where they want to go or how to fix this mess. For a final point, I haven't seen Justice League yet, but it's on the movie channel. While I was switching channels the other day, I saw that it was on, so I stopped in to take a look. All I will say is that it was a fight scene on some building steps, but I was absolutely fucking floored at how laughably horrible the cgi was. I still will watch this when I get the chance, but fuck sakes.
  6. Pretty much this. As for figuring out what to do, follow the prompts in the lower right corner, at least for the first while. It will literally lead you, step by step, to where you have the tools and blueprints to go wherever you want. At the end of the day, if you like exploring, crafting, building and the like, you'll probably like this game. I think one of the stars of this game could be the freighter and fleet building. People aren't going to get that in the first few hours. Later on though, I think you'll really see what this update brings to the table.
  7. Saw it today and loved it. A lot of the good points mentioned above. Not surprised as the last two were very good as well.
  8. You met Jason Aaron! At a con? That's awesome. By my estimation, he's easily my favorite writer at Marvel right now. That's why I'm on Avengers again. lol.
  9. It doesn't sound like that's a good thing for you, but it's great for me as I'm woefully behind in my reading. I used to be all over this book and then, bam, 15 issues behind.
  10. I don't disagree in the slightest. You've also given more good examples of the people replacing the legacy character having a good history with that character, so it makes sense. X-23 as Wolverine, Jim Rhodes with Tony Stark. I also enjoyed when Bucky took over for Captain America. Hell, one of the most interesting stories in recent years was Superior Spider-Man. I'm game for pretty much anything if it's well written and interesting.
  11. Van Sciver has been know to shove his foot in his mouth on more than one occasion. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely just shitty fucking people whose opinion doesn't really matter. The tough task trying to organically create diversity from hundreds of characters that were created when it was white city is fucking hard. Now, excluding the above shitty people, what other people have a problem with is taking a character that has decades of history, fucking murdering them or killing them off in some form or fashion and then, wham, here's a brand new diverse character with legacy character's name. This is not the way to do it, and quite frankly, it's fucking lazy. It puts more pressure on creators to be extremely smart with how these characters are introduced. Ms. Marvel was done perfectly. Miles Morales Spider-Man was initially alternate universe, but is now in the main Marvel universe and he was done excellent as well. If a replacement character also has a long history with the original, that can work well too. Female Thor and Awesome Hulk were examples of this. As it is, I don't have a single problem with getting the industry more diverse and reflective of real life, as long as they're doing it in a creative way.
  12. This is the key, but I didn't really, so my experience was like that above. lol. I'll put some more time in tonight. I didn't touch the game since it was vanilla, so I've got a fair bit to catch up on.
  13. Abstract Studio: Strangers in Paradise XXV #5 DC Comics: Green Lanterns #52 Image Comics: Seven to Eternity #10 Marvel Comics: Astonishing X-Men #14 Captain America #2 Star Wars #52 The Immortal Hulk #4 X-Men: Gold #33
  14. I'm happy that the Shazam movie looks very Shazamy. Lol. Aquaman looks like it could work.
  15. I think Liam Sharp is the artist, which is a little different for Green Lantern.
  16. DC Comics: Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #49 Image Comics: Descender #32 Saga #54 Marvel Comics: Moon Knight #197 Old Man Logan #44 Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #22 X-23 #2 X-Men: Blue 32 Valiant: X-O Manowar #17
  17. You're not kidding, Hurdy! Grant Morrison can be either a blessing or a curse. A confusing curse. Lol. It seems to me that there was a time, a long time ago, that Green Lantern was exactly like that. For quite awhile, there was very little spectacle. Then Geoff Johns came along and jacked Green Lantern to an amazing level. Just like it needed a change back then, I think now is the right time for this type of change. This could be very good.
  18. I haven't really jumped back in for any of the previous updates, but I'll be checking it out next Tuesday for sure. I put 40 some hours into the vanilla game and had some enjoyment out of it. I'm excited to see how much it's improved.
  19. I think it's safe to say that this is going to probably be the best Spider-Man game ever.
  20. DC Comics: Green Lanterns #51 Image Comics: The Magic Order #2 VS #5 Marvel Comics: Avengers #5 Star Wars #51 The Immortal Hulk #3 Thor #3 Tony Stark: Iron Man #2 X-Men: Gold #32 X-Men: Red #6
