  1. Bought Street Fighter 6. The plan is to invest some time into this this weekend.......Fingers crossed it's as good as most are saying on these boards!
  2. Yea I understood that, I was just stating that I haven't paid 70 for a game yet. Then I remembered....YES I DID! I payed 79.99 for Diablo 4. Either way this new Contra looks great I'll just check it out much later down the road!
  3. FUNNY: I saw this post and immediately remembered the game I had been trying to think of all year: Shadow Complex!! Thanks or that ! I have yet paid the "NEW GEN" upsale on games at $70. I'm not saying there not worth it but It takes me to long to even get to a newly bought game to make that price justifiable at all really. I'm just starting to realize this. That said this looks nice, I love a "GOOD" Contra game but not paying the asking price as it sits now. Will probably pic it up down the road though like most games.....
  4. I love poker so I'll buy it on Steam for my couch/Ally time. Hoping this is really that good. It's on Steam so I guess I could get my money back if need be. I have only EVER reimbursed a game 2x in over 20 years of Steam!
  5. Been reading about this game! I watched the above link "what isBalatro " but I can't wrap my head around what is going on or what I am supposed to do in this game. I finally broke down and bought SF6 last night opening the doors to buying games again it seems. I love simple high replayable games on the Ally. Is this hard to understand, I mean like really here? It looks crazy to me. I'm leaning towards just buying it and seeing but I want to be able to fully understand the game without 20 hours of getting blasted?? thoughts? If it's a easy to pick up hard to master really great game I'll buy it now!
  6. WARNING: A complete unnecessary RANT with little point below. I felt I needed to talk this out out loud sort of speak so's I can better myself. I in no way am asking for attention nore do I NEED IT. This is just my way of answering the Question that this post asks in a informative way in a to many words way, my way, the only way I know how....The HardAct WAY! I truly suggest you skip it in it's entirety and move on, really nothing to read here......... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've been thinking about it and thinking about it really hard and I haven't bought NOT A SINGLE game this year! This shit is bonkers!! I went from buying overy 2000k a year EASY to nothing. What did it was I made a list, just a passing thought really about what to play next or really a list of games that I bought at FULL price but still have to play. So this is mostly all POST fire now too in 2018 as I was mostly bought Physical copies of games pre-fire except Steam/PC games. I lost EVERYTHING in that fire of course and started buying games at a even more vigorous pace tham before and I thought I was bad back then. This time all digital because I thought that will NEVER happen ever again to me and off I went. Hell I bought about 15 PS5 games before I was able to even buy the console. What really sucks is I still have most of those games to play. At least those I bought almost ALL on eBay for$40 or less but all brand new! Anyway to wrap this up......Back to my list I was making. I started digging and finding that I had well over 6 pages long still to play. I made the list on like groceries lists pads having 20 lines per page I got to paged 6 and came to a realization! AN AH-HA Moment if you will. Maybe I'm not a gamer anymore? Laugh yea but I was serious at this moment. These games weren't Steam sale games these were games like Forbidden West, BotW2, God of War 2, Both Spidermans, Demon souls remake, Dying Light 2, Death stranding, Halo Infinite, GT7, Ratchet & Clank: Rift apart, Returnal,Deathloop, FFXVI, FF Remake, Metroid Dread, Jedi: FO, Pillars of Eternity 2, PREY, Tyranny, Crisis Core: FF7 Reunion, Mario Odyssey, etc, etc. These games were all bought NEW full price or near it and I've yet to even start them. This list wouldn't have been that alarming but those were right of the top of my head, when I really looked into my PS5, Xbox, Nintendo, and PC lists I was just majorly backlogged with games that could each be well over 20-30 hours or even more. The ONLY game I FINALLY broke down and played was Elden Ring and I put 70 hours into it and love it I might add. Ok so I'm / we're doing well enough post-fire to have bounced back and have quite a bit of spending money, but this was excessive to say the least as I have a list going right next to this one that is full of game I THINK I NEED NOW or SOON! Games like: Baldur's Gate 3, Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, etc, etc. That list is also 5 pages!! I finally saw what I was doing, I was getting way more out of buying games, collecting them which is comical in it's own right as there FUCKING DIGITAL GAMES! How is that COLLECTING? I need no one to feel sorry for me, I'm an adult, YES I'm a Gamer still but I have realized that buy the time I actually will sit down to play most if not ALL they will be ALL under $20 bucks, {on some Steam summer/winter sale for $10} or free on GP and / or PS+ and I could maybe use that money in a different way is all. It's crazy to see all the games that I BOUGHT FULL PRICE now that are on Gamepass and PS+. I'm so glad that I started this list, my What to play next list. Having it be over 6 pages w/ 20 games on each....That's 120 games just in the last 4 years that were for the most part AAA and were a MUST have that I was able to see a path forward and so I CAN now SAY I have not bought a game THIS YEAR and for me that's an INCREDIBLE STATEMENT! I DO really, really want BG3 and SF6 though and it eats at me everyday. That is why I keep that Damned List right next to me hanging where I see at at all times in our gameroom where I play the most! Happy NEW YEAR may we all learn to grow in one way or another friends......PEACE!
  7. Pretty perfect but I'm doing so well not buying games and I'm afraid that I won't play it. I have gone from buying EVERYTHING at full price to really lately strictly buying almost nothing. It feels weird. This game LOOKS really good and I haven't bought ANYTHING in quite awhile. Hell I'm still REALLY wanting Baldur's Gat III. It's actually been right around the release of that game that I put the brakes on. There the 2nd part of the FF Remake out too, I do not want to open the fllod gates that's for sure. It is my birthday on the 4th maybe it's time to treat myself to a new game. Another contributing factor is the fact that I'm closing in on a Full bottom up PC build. Very excited about this as it's only my second after losing EVERYTHING in the fire. So my I7 9700k / 280 Ti is still holding it's own but I love PC gaming and want to buy my games on PC for the most part. Man SF6 looks so good though. This new PC will be a spendy one as I'll get the best of the best and not look back. Maybe not possessor but for sure looking at a 5090Gpu. This will be the first time that I buy the best GPU that you can buy when it's released. At that price I will most likely pick it up, kinda hard not to as my FOOT is in my MOUTH now !!
  8. ME TOO! lol I know I have ZERO chance against any reasonable abled player these days but I have always LOVED a good fighting game. I won't buy this now but I will own it soon, as soon as I can get it for under 30$ not that it isn't worth it but I just won't play it right away anyways. I really am impressed with the RPG element of it. Looks fantastic. The graphics look fantastic also......
  9. Lode runner & Choplifter on apple 2e 1983 I think. I saved for awhile to be able to afford those games. If memory affords me right they were quite expensive too!
  10. Looks like I waited just about long enough to play these TWO GAMES back to back even though I bought the first part day ONE! I should just play it off like this was the plan all along but I KNOW BETTER! The irony is becoming a bit excessive to say the least! I mean hell, I can probably get the first part now for under $15 bucks....lol Thinking also that they probably won't run that well on the Ally so it's the painful realization that I will be FORCED to play these on the 83" LGG3! It's a tough life......
  11. Can't recommend Dead Pace remake more, its FANTASTIC! So is the original DS1&2 are great. NOT DS3 though!
  12. I feel kinda guilty for not giving the game a fair try. Meaning at least 5 hours or so, that's about the time where game mechanics are fully explained at least in most games. I played this coming strait off from playing Elden Ring for 2 months and about 80+ hours. I'll admit I didn't beat the game but it was a fantastic game and I had a blast! LoP looked the part but I'm bad at these games admittingly but they draw me in every time. ER is an Incredible game, I have only beaten Bloodborne and Demons souls. I own them all, really like DS3 but couldn't beat it so I moved on. I do want to give LoP another shot inventually but knowing me I usually won't. I can't give an impression as I never really gave myself the chance to get invested enough for that. I'm sure it's a fine DS like game. Hell I still have to play Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom! Another day one nagging me in my backlogged mind. Loved BotW and I did start it and played it for about 3 hours only to move on! I'm not going to reveal my age {I have 5 kids & 10 Grand kids} but at this point it has to be pretty amazing {To me of course} to hold my attention. I didn't even start ER until it had been out for almost 2 years...lol I bought it for PS5 even before I was able to find one in a retail store and buy the console! Makes no sense but it is what it is, right now! So in conclusion: LoP looks and played the part in which games I seemingly enjoy to play and I want to get back to it but the frustration I read above added to all my own roadblocks are starting to tell me what I already know. That is I won't enjoy it if it's that hard in the mid-late game....
  13. It's one of the biggest issues gaing wise anymore for me. I will almost NEVER buy a game and play it right then but bad enough When I do it's about a 5% chance it will hold my attention long enough enjoy it. Then when I eventually want to "JUMP BACK IN" I can't take off and play the game where I left off forgetting the controls and all. This all ends up in my never finishing anything or stuffing my backlog with good intensions never to be played again. Round and round it goes. Game mentioned like GoW 2018 I played it early on for about 3 hours she;ved it only to jump back in for about 6 hours and reshelving it. I then 2 years after release sat down and played again and it hooked me and I finished it, but it took awhile as I mix many games at once any any given time.....
  14. Doing incredibly well spending wise last few months and into the NEW YEAR buying games! There's no need really, I have nothing on the horizon really except Silent Hill Remake that I just heard about last week! Didn't even know it was in the works especially after the whole PT discussion and then cancelation yadda yadda. Excited about that. I have really loved all these remakes, RE1, RE2, RE4 and Dead Space!!! All incredible in their own right. Now SH remake on the horizon but Gamepass has kept me in the loop really with a shit ton of games and it's all I really need right now. Definitely ready and willing to buy anything that jumps out at me but like I said I don't have anything really even in mind that I'm waiting for. I do want Baldur's Gate 3 and Lords of the Fallen but I'm impressed with myself not just jumping and purchasing them even this long as in the past I would've bought them $660-70 bucks and shelved them. Eventually getting to them and I'm learning at my rate of NEW game starting from my backlogs that by the time I do install and play them they are either in GP or PS+ or on sale for less than $20 BUCKS! LOL! So.....It just took me 40 years to learn to be patient and let them come to me in my due time. Not that I'm living paycheck to paycheck but saving money is saving money and it only makes sense in the end! So nothing new but I am playing Diablo 4 and LOVING it. Bought it day one and just started playing it about a month ago. It's way better than I gave it credit for in the first impressions playing it for a few hours and shelving it. LOVER D#, LOVE the D@ Resurrections release also and right there if It can keep my attention between the two games I have hundreds of hours ahead of me. So yea bought nothing new, but Playing D4 and really liking it!
  15. I don't "Hold my breath" for anything anymore these days but for maybe trying to tuck in my shirt under my belly....lol I loved Fighters back in the day, Mortal Kombat in the Arcades the first time seeing it will still always be an amazing memory. ALONG with Killer Instinct of course ARCADE was a stunner also!!. If you were a kid in the 80's WOW just WOW! Then Popping Soul Calibur in my Dreamcast day one was just such a badass time to be a gamer and another forever cherished memory and has left me wanting or patiently waiting for a true rebirth of THAT Game. Sad to read about the failure of 6, I didn't like it either very much but I always had hope something AWESOME was around the corner. Sucks getting old and reading/hearing somethings just may never happen. Lastly: Tekken was the very first game that I sat down and learned EVERY DAMNED 10 hit combo for all my favorite characters to the dismay of my then kids. I've never been a "Participation Trophy" guy so if you ever going to win, you gonna EARN IT...lol I'll pick up Tekken when I see it on sale and I know for a fact going in i'm never going to be able to beat anyone online again. That ship has sailed...........
  16. I'm pretty lucky when it comes to motion sickness in games. My wife for the most part is the exact opposite poor woman. I have though experienced it, especially if I have a headache or just am not feeling to well. When it happens it's almost always in shooters or flying games. Funny thing is I have NEVER evn tried VR! I mean I have never had the experience of putting on a headset and feeling/seeing that experience. I have wanted to. I have almost purchased a quest 2/3. Pondered maybe the PS5 VR headset, etc. I would want it simply for racing games in which I am a HUGE fan of. I'm sure it's amazing with a great wheel that I have {For PC} and...yea Just never tried it. Saying this I'm not sure I'd like it as I'm really claustrophobic! I MEAN TERRIBLY. Not to explain in 1000 words but I had an experience that was life changing in a negative way making me incredibly fear small places and or things over my head. It took me 2 years after my "Experience" to even get a motorcycle helmet back over my head and wear it! Sucked & Sucks STILL! So I understand issues with motion sickness. Movies like Paranormal activities, blair which project, etc and a no go for my wife every bit as much as my gaming. I feel sorry for her but it is what it is.....
  17. being a dedicated gamer in anyway shape or form these days would be fuc&%d with data caps or any for really. AAA games averaging say 60 gigs and 5-15 gig patches every other day it seems would REALLY make you micromanage and that's just not me. I have never had a download cap except on early cell phone contracts, never on Internet. Past 15 years though zero cap. I'm on Spectrum's 500 gig plan but soon uping that to their 1000 plan. I can't see many Internet companies charging extra for caps in 2024. It's to limiting. I'm sure some still slow you down though sneakily on the background...!!!
  18. Easily tell the differences in those photos. Especially the left girl with the blue hair & head are pretty blurry along with the girl on the rights outfit in the gold decorative stuff. I would think @60fps it's all a bit blurry anyways though right? Is there motion blur on? Anyways will be grabbing this game soon I hope. Probably on PC as I have regathered a lot of my modern fighters that were lost on in the fire and tekken was always a huge household favorite. I still need to grab Dead or Alive 5, I think it's plays better than 6. I see it's 100gigs!!! gonna be tough on the Ally....lol I also see that it's Recommended req are: Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 so I'm holding my own and toeing the line just barely with my 2080Ti!
  19. why I don't play fighters on PC, cheaters ruin everything but ESPECIALLY on PC!
  20. I was a HUGE fan of physical media aka Cartridges, disks, etc. This all changed after the Fire in 2018. I revered my collection containing old 6" floppy discs for our Apple 2e from the late 70s - 80s, I owned an Apple 2e also that worked and looked brand new Our Atari and Intellivision, and Commodore 64, and all the way through ALL consoles games and consoles up to the PS3! My PS3 was the duel PS2 model also, just thinking about it depresses ME! I know it's only stuff, but it was MY STUFF! Collecting was 1/2 of the fun for me. Nearly impossible to rebuy / gather and find and replacing it without spending a real forchune at least to most. Now having LOST EVERYTHING actual physical media has given way to digital only I only own 14 PS5 & XBSX. Only thing I had after the fire was a Switch that had left in the car the night before as we took it to visit a friend in the Hospital. I was grateful for having that at least. No dock of course but something at the time was GREAT. Anyway, the whole"NOT OWNING" the games we buy it's alway pissed me off. It's ridiculous but how can we fight it really? When XboX One was announced and they relaid the now infamous "DRM" fiasco it pushed the idea aside but not out of the picture. We are pretty much shit out of luck if say Valve goes belly up and along with it our beloved Steam Library, ETC. I'm pretty much in the majority when it comes to Ubisoft and there practices, They were pretty much all-in on the NFT bullshit also! Biggest issue though is the fact that you will NEVER EVER be able to sell anything. Thus recouping some of the costs from what can be to many very expensive. Especially with $70 dollar games here already. You CAN Never share a game either. This is of course EXACTLY what gaming publishers want though and have always wanted. It saddens me to no end but "It is what it is" as my Son Donnie always said. I cant think of a better way of putting it, me HE R.I.P . . . Lastly: Ubisoft has been dead for me for quite sometime. They do many nefarious things to there customers along with the employees. It's a shame as they really do make some great games.
  21. Man I love Skyrim, I built a computer around the game back in the day and I've been wanting to revisit it here lately but man that's a long game. It was a beast back then (The PC I mean) with 2x either 780's or 980's. I put at least 120 hours into it
  22. Really need to play the part one remake lol! I installed it when it launched so probably couldve saved a lot of money if I'd just stop buying when launched! Probably much to old now and to late, I mean its just money!! Lol 😂
