  1. DNF Duel is today's free game on EGS, the daily giveaways have started.
  2. Finished my second run of Chrono Cross, started and finished a quick run so that I can get Harle back with the Chrono Cross in the final run I started.
  3. Best game that I have no idea how I got it. I think I saw a voucher for it in my Steam inventory one day without any notification of how it got there. I heard that it was good so I tried it and loved it. Shovel Knight is great but it might be too much to play everything in one go. Finish with one character, move on to something else and come back to it later. I really liked Alwa's Awakening, the 16bit style sequel is even better. Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass was great (saw it in my discovery queue during a Steam sale and it had the Xbob seal of approval so I got it) but prepare to have your heart crushed when you realize what's going on. I liked The Messenger but couldn't get back into it for the DLC. I liked all the Shantae games though I wouldn't want to play the first game without save states. I liked Axiom Verge and its sequel despite it being very different. Also liked Celeste but it told me my body was too old for games where I have to keep repeating the same thing over and over until I finally succeed. If you like A Link to the Past, definitely play Blossom Tales. Cosmic Star Heroine is good. CrossCode is great, I especially liked the new game +, achievements unlock points and then when you start the new game + you can spend them to unlock perks and stuff that carries over. One of the perks makes you do crazy damage and the best part is how that affects NPC dialog. Momodora was good, not very memorable but there is another entry in the series releasing in about a month. To the Moon is short but good and there's an RPG sequel coming in 2024. Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion was enjoyable but too short so it lacks the exploration typical of Zelda games. Undertale is not the best game ever, but it is a really good game.
  4. Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Manager is free on GOG. Winter Sale is on so there could be other giveaways later. GOG.com WWW.GOG.COM Download the best classic and new games on Windows, Mac & Linux. A vast selection of titles, DRM-free, with free goodies and 30-day money-back guarantee. In addition to Destiny 2 Legacy Collection on EGS, there are free packs for various games that can be claimed. Click on Featured Giveaways at the top of the page to see them. Just a moment... STORE.EPICGAMES.COM
  5. Mystery game unlocks in just over an hour and half on EGS. I'm guessing they're going to be doing daily free games like they've done in the past instead of the usual weekly so get ready to check more often. Destiny 2 Legacy Collection and the next Mystery game is available next week so it's not daily. Current deal ends in 6 days but the new deal starts in 7 so maybe that's when they'll go daily.
  6. I've never used any of those services so I'm not in a position to recommend any. IIRC Ominous has, so if he still does he might be able to help. If it's just for files, a Microsoft 365 subscription comes with 1TB of cloud storage (you can also get just the cloud storage but I think the pricing is such that you're better off with the Office package) and it can move stuff like your desktop and documents onto OneDrive and then you have everything in the cloud all the time and don't have to worry about moving anything before a trip, just access OneDrive from the Mac or your phone, the PC doesn't even need to be on.
  7. Ideally you'll want to either research services for this or get a router with VPN support so that you don't have to expose RDP to the internet. What do you want to do once connected?
  8. Part of the reason I got my nephew the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Collection was so he could practice reading but he just skips most of the text.
  9. It looks so good with those. You can't use the disc 2 compressed textures anymore, these are the same thing but uncompressed and better. File size is really big if you get the highest quality version.
  10. As I got the second new game plus ending in Chrono Cross I remembered, I can just push in the right stick to become invincible so I loaded up an earlier save and got the first one. I've only been using that for a couple bosses to beat them first chance instead of having to come back later. I've been constantly using the speed boost.
  11. Finished Chrono Cross and started a new game plus. Wasn't able to finish the game right away due to status effects so I'll have to wait for that ending until the next new game plus.
  12. It seems popular for CG shows these days to imitate the choppy framerate of stop-motion so nobody will even notice anything changed.
  13. Started Chrono Cross. Making different choices compared to when I played the original version. I want Glenn on the first playthrough instead of the last.
  14. Finished Radical Dreamers. I can't be bothered to spend the time to watch the other endings on YouTube let alone replay the game myself. I'd rather play Chrono Cross.
  15. Finished AstLibra Revision. Thank you @Mr.Vic20 for recommending it.
  16. Makes you long for the day when GPUs get so big everything plugs into them and motherboards are no longer needed
  17. Demo is on Steam Save 10% on The Talos Principle 2 on Steam STORE.STEAMPOWERED.COM The Talos Principle 2 is a thought-provoking first-person puzzle experience that greatly expands on the first game's philosophical themes and stunning environments with increasingly mind-bending challenges.
  18. Awesome. The story was interesting. While there are a lot of different playable characters I mostly stuck to the same 4 with the same basic strategy.
