  1. I started Frieren on the weekend. I was initially hesitant to watch it but now that I've started I'm glad I did. Mashle is kind of mediocre and repeats a lot of lame jokes but it's good enough that I keep watching and enjoy it. I'm liking Solo Leveling, I'm not about to stop and wait but it seems like it would have been better binged. Still watching One Piece.
  2. Just got picked up, no replacement or even a notification that the replacement is on its way yet.
  3. I made it through The Talos Principle just fine (almost 8 years ago) but playing The Road to Gehenna I experienced motion sickness for the first time. Not bad enough to puke and I don't have a problem with actual motion in a moving vehicle. Since then there have been a few first person games that have given me trouble including replays of games that weren't a problem the first time I played them. The Talos Principle 2 has a section in the settings for motion sickness but no real explanation of how to adjust the settings to make it better. I seem to be fine walking around doing the puzzles, running around open areas seems to be the problem for me. Any tips dealing with this?
  4. When I started the process it sounded like they're going to deliver the new one and then I'd have 30 days to send in the old one. After selecting the default delivery option it sounds like they're going to pick up the old one when they deliver the new one. The pickup is scheduled for tomorrow so if the delivery guy doesn't have the new one I'll have to wait, probably not long though. Next couple of games I play with a controller, I'll probably use a different controller and I have a really short USB to USB C cable I can use if I have to so I'll probably just put mine in the box and take the new one.
  5. I got the Switch Pro controller I gave my nephew for Christmas back because half the buttons don't work and it doesn't charge. I put in a request for a replacement with Amazon. The problem is that I was only given back the controller and the box (the main part, not the cardboard inside). The charging cable is in another city. Any idea if Amazon cares if the cable is missing? Or should I throw mine in the box to be safe and take the one from the replacement before giving it to my nephew?
  6. Mordheim: City of the Damned on GOG. GOG.com WWW.GOG.COM Download the best classic and new games on Windows, Mac & Linux. A vast selection of titles, DRM-free, with free goodies and 30-day money-back guarantee. Infinifactory on EGS Just a moment... STORE.EPICGAMES.COM
  7. I've only played Ys I&II, but it's definitely a good place to start since they're short. Trials of Mana is relatively short if you just do a single playthrough. If you want to try all the characters you need to do at least 2 play throughs but the first 2 party members get extra story scenes so if you want to see it all you need to play 3 times so that each character can be in either the first or second slot at least once. FFXII is long but with the remaster you can speed it up. DQXI is long if you do everything.
  8. Finished Portal: Revolution. Very well made but I preferred Portal Reloaded and Portal Stores: Mel.
  9. Just think, if they put 2009 lighting on a Daedalus class starship, it'll be a disco ball
  10. The daily giveaways are over, so Guardians of the Galaxy is available for a week.
  11. Just a heads up, if you have part of a bundle on Steam, buying the bundle gives just what you're missing. So if you do want the first game, you can get it with the 81% bundle discount instead of 75% off. I think it will automatically add the bundle if you try to buy just DOS since you already have DOS2.
  12. Caveblazers on Gog GOG.com WWW.GOG.COM Download the best classic and new games on Windows, Mac & Linux. A vast selection of titles, DRM-free, with free goodies and 30-day money-back guarantee.
  13. Finished Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition. Got all the characters. Back when I played the original I missed Harle cause you have to play part way through a new game plus till she joins the party, finish the game before she permanently leaves the party and start another new game plus. Didn't encounter any crashes or freezes. It was nice to try Radical Dreamers but it's not that great so I'm glad it's simply included, with no extras like achievements. I played through Radical Dreamers just once (played it before starting Chrono Cross) and almost had to start over but thanks to my save rotation was able to go back a save and finish it (you need to have enough health - though your health isn't visible - to be able to finish it and on the first attempt I got unlucky with random encounters and all the sources of healing were already used up).
  14. I made a spreadsheet for the over 350 games I have on EGS so every time I claim a game I have to add it.
  15. Finished my second run of Chrono Cross, started and finished a quick run so that I can get Harle back with the Chrono Cross in the final run I started.
  16. Best game that I have no idea how I got it. I think I saw a voucher for it in my Steam inventory one day without any notification of how it got there. I heard that it was good so I tried it and loved it. Shovel Knight is great but it might be too much to play everything in one go. Finish with one character, move on to something else and come back to it later. I really liked Alwa's Awakening, the 16bit style sequel is even better. Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass was great (saw it in my discovery queue during a Steam sale and it had the Xbob seal of approval so I got it) but prepare to have your heart crushed when you realize what's going on. I liked The Messenger but couldn't get back into it for the DLC. I liked all the Shantae games though I wouldn't want to play the first game without save states. I liked Axiom Verge and its sequel despite it being very different. Also liked Celeste but it told me my body was too old for games where I have to keep repeating the same thing over and over until I finally succeed. If you like A Link to the Past, definitely play Blossom Tales. Cosmic Star Heroine is good. CrossCode is great, I especially liked the new game +, achievements unlock points and then when you start the new game + you can spend them to unlock perks and stuff that carries over. One of the perks makes you do crazy damage and the best part is how that affects NPC dialog. Momodora was good, not very memorable but there is another entry in the series releasing in about a month. To the Moon is short but good and there's an RPG sequel coming in 2024. Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion was enjoyable but too short so it lacks the exploration typical of Zelda games. Undertale is not the best game ever, but it is a really good game.
