Television The Mandalorian OT - This is the Way
CitizenVectron replied to Commissar SFLUFAN's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
Operation Cinder was stupid to begin with (that the Emperor just wanted to kill everyone if he died), but it was made doubly stupid when it turns out that the Emperor can just made another clone of himself. -
New government ad in Alberta: Nobody loves a house party more than COVID ‘Nobody loves a house party more than COVID’: Alberta launches new ad campaign | Globalnews.ca GLOBALNEWS.CA There's nothing that COVID-19 loves more than house parties and family gatherings. That's the message behind a new Alberta ad campaign launched Friday.

What's crazy about this is that the GOP is still winning almost everywhere it matters. Yeah Biden one, but he can't get anything big done that can't be reversed in 4 years. Meanwhile, SCOTUS is hard-right for 30 years minimum and will keep gerrymandering alive thanks to their state control, ensuring at least another decade of minority rule outside of landslide wins.

Not an expert, but I think there is some risk that the virus could evolve to be resistant to the vaccine through the surviving strains mutating. But as long as everyone who gets the first dose gets the second eventually, it could be a good idea to try. Because the alternative isn't everyone gets half vs half getting two doses.

There is a risk to the plan, though. What of a lot of people don't show up for the second dose months later, if it's delayed? What if the US can't get enough doses in time for the second dose, or has to steal from others to do so? If the supply management is secure and we know the next 35 million will be here in a few weeks, then it's a good idea. But if not, it isn't. Edit - also, if we're relying on the idiots who can't stop themselves from seeing people at Christmas to come back a month or two later when another dose comes in for them (after they've been fine, since)...it's not a good idea. Basically making a riskier plan that relies on people acting rationally (when we know they already aren't) isn't smart.

What’s next for Democrats?

Yeah US elections are effectively a wealth-transfer from poor to rich, at this point (like everything else). -
In terms of physical and medical infrastructure, I'd say that first map is probably quite accurate. What it misses is that the places with the best infrastructure (and standard of living) also have populations that don't understand hardship or sacrifice, and so don't have the willpower or fortitude to deal with a sustained crisis.

Focus on helping people instead of fundraising. That's it. -
A couple of theories on how they can get around this: Shuri becomes the new BP (by the end of the next movie) I would like this idea the best if it wasn't so problematic that the actress is a shit-for-brain anti-vaxxer/COVID-hoaxer They use the Multiverse to pull in an alternate dimension BP, maybe played by Michael B Jordon (in the other universe he was a good guy, not Killmonger) I like this since MBJ is such an amazing actor, and was Boseman's friend. They introduce a different (non-T'Challa) male character to take the BP mantle by the end of the next movie This could work too, but would still be big shoes to fill
