Has anyone ever played Everspace? It's on for like $5 and seems like a cool space flight rogue like game. -

There is always foreign aid in these types of omnibus bills, and it's always super low as a % of GDP. Right-wing people just hate helping out poor people no matter where they live (but won't complain about aid going to Israel). -
A game I didn't expect to love but have been playing almost daily is Apex Legends. I skipped it on launch but finally got around to it last year...wow, it's quite good now, and is improving all the time. The new map and character for Season 8 (Olympus and Horizon, respectively) are amazing. The constant addition of new characters and events is great, and the gameplay loop is really solid. Definitely my favourite battle royal game.

Books What Are You Reading or Listening To?

Finished A Wizard of Earthsea a while back but am only now just moving on to another book. About 1/5 way through Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson. My spouse got me Rhythm of War for Christmas (book 4 of Stormlight Archive, Brandon Sanderson) and apparently the events/characters of Warbreaker play heavily in it. -

After Democrats FAILED to get it done, Trump SAVES everyone. -
A truck drove through Walter Hill, TN playing an evacuation message, before parking along a (seemingly) empty road. Police are investigating with bomb squads/robots. Video shows the truck has a Trump sticker on it. I am guess this wasn't an actual bomb, but rather someone copying the idea of playing an evacuation message to "own the libs" and scare people, or something. At least I hope.

There was a teacher in our school division that insisted she had wifi fatigue syndrome or some such bullshit. She insisted that the wiwi AP in her classroom's ceiling was causing all kinds of issues with her health (she taught in a computer lab). I'm sure you can all anticipate the kicker here...there was no access point in the ceiling since all the PCs were hardwired with ethernet lines. lol. There are legitimately people out there that think any form of radio waves cause health issues.

Provinces should offer COVID-19 vaccine more widely, instead of holding back 2nd dose, experts say | CBC News WWW.CBC.CA There's growing consensus that offering the COVID-19 vaccine to as many people as possible may have more impact than holding back supplies to give recipients their second dose — but in Ontario, officials still plan to maintain the two-dose timeframe to ensure immunity. I really hope this catches on. We need to give the first dose to as many people as possible, as fast as possible, and then administer the second doses as time allows. This will save the most amount of lives. Second-dose priority can be given to the most high-risk groups, though (70+, medical workers, etc), but everyone else should just get a single dose and then the second dose anywhere from 21 days to 3 months later. So far, three provinces have signed on to this (BC, SK, NB).
