    Promare 7/10 - This shouldn't have been a movie, but more of a series. A good lovesong to Gainax/Trigger themes and tropes, but it paid off. Visually neat, and Hiroyuki Sawano as always does orchestrate a good soundtrack.

    Yesterday I played the Code Vein Trial, and wow how the hell you make the Trial version worse than the Closed Beta? Also starting up Catherine Full Body.

    Worst weapon from the demo. And the AI partner that uses it is so laughably fragile that she just dies immediately, on top of doing little to no damage.

    Big plus - I loved the mobility that HX form gave. Negatives - LX and FX forms were meh to garbage. Charge special attacks wasted too much livemetal energy. Melee very weak. Double buster everything.

    I don't know. The bad voice acting still gives the zombie horror flick campiness. I thought it was unanimous that Chaos Wars had the WORST dubbing by far.

    I'm on agreement with this. This movie felt more relatable than the socialite exaggeration of Crazy Rich Asians (although with some brief accuracy with how judgmental "Chinese" were). A lot of the issues with East vs West ideology, being excluded, patronized, "greater good", and of course the relatable cringe of Chinese family/social gatherings; it all was accurate. I'd give it a 9/10. This legitimately surprised me.

    Disregard. I reread the reply/quote. Comprehension has been fucky as of late due to personal stress, and reading the political BS. I interpreted it incorrectly assuming you said Chinese and Taiwanese review bombed the game, and lumping Taiwan into China. My bad. However, point still stands about how approaching Chinese nationalism under Western ideology. Mainland pigs get fucking pissed off when you slight their middle kingdom even in the most minor context.

    15 was a flawed Final Fantasy, but otherwise was a competent Final Fantasy within the series if it were not plagued with development/production issues. 13 was an absolute shitstorm that shouldn't have existed spread among 3 games.
