Your motherboard manual should tell you which PCI-E slots get disabled when you use an NVME drive, because they typically share the same PCI-E lanes of one (or more) of the slots and all of those lanes will go to the southbridge, which can only handle so much.

You're going to need more cores for upcoming games. Most games released in the last 2 years benefit from 6+ cores.
