  1. I can’t wait to be homeless so I won’t get a virus that probably won’t even kill me. I mean let’s do what we can but we can’t destroy society for this. It’s not like it’s some inescapable automatic death sentence to everyone who gets it.
  2. 4 people bought desks including me that I saw. People have been told to wfh but if you haven’t set yourself up yet you need to get your office stuff. The girl at ikea said they were at 160% index and it’s only been this busy when college starts. Best Buy was sold out of monitors keyboards mouses web cams etc. Not all of us were ready to go wfh at a moments notice.
  3. Went to Best Buy to get some monitors for work and everything under $400 was sold out. So it’s not just food and tp.
  4. At ikea to get a desk and chair and it’s a madhouse so if you Need d stuff for your setup look into getting it now.
  5. My cats still need a clean toilet especially if I’m going to be home all day with them the next two weeks
  6. I was wondering this, for those have been shopping this week any of you have pets? Is the pet food raided too? I have cat food for at least a month if not two, but I need cat litter. Hopefully it’s not all sold out.
  7. Just got a text from my manager that we’re all wfh for two weeks starting Monday
  8. I'm seeing a lot both sides nonsense. A pretty even amount of people I know to be conservative and liberal both with the whole it's no big deal, it's all overblown, more people die from the flu and car accidents and blah blah blah. That's the general reaction I'm seeing from most people, on both sides.
  9. Good thing I don't need to get any groceries right this second, but I assume shit will be fucked for awhile.
  10. The one I built like 5ish years ago on this board that was something like an i4790k and a R290 or something. Anyway it was great for about a year when I started having problems with it and eventually just stopped working on me. I'm not the tinkering kind of person to want to do a bunch of shit to fix it so uh yeah that was that and went back to console gaming.
  11. Bruh, I looked up the first full week of April, you can stay at the Circus Circus for $15 a night, a lot of the other cheaper hotels are like $30 or less a night. The Cosmo aws like $115 a night when I looked. I was going to go for a nice spring trip, but I don't want to die either so might not end up going.
  12. Warriors games will be played without fans, and I just saw an alert the Mariners won't play games in Seattle in March, which affects 7 games. But that's okay, because no one goes to Mariner games anyways.
  13. No lower gas prices around me. Also, I thought gas was cheap here, how the fuck are some of you under $2 a gallon.
  14. Do I ever get bent over by Cox Maybe that came out wrong. Anyway my bill is just under $200. When I moved here it was like $165. I thought they told me I had one year free of the movie channels, and my bill went up after being here for a year. I got lazy about it for a couple months but figured my bill went up because I was now paying for movie channels so I call to bitch about it and remove the movie channels or whatever. No I have "free" movie channels for 2 years. My bill just went up this year just because. So I said okay cancel the cable and just give me internet service. They said it would be $300 a month because I would no longer have any bundles to "save" me money. I really need to stop being lazy and cancel the cable and start a new plan under my girlfriends name so she gets the "new customer bundle savings" for a year. Between my cable and cell phone bill I pay $500 a month. Though part of that is I got last years fancy pants iphone for me and my gf and did the 2 year financing thing, so later this year that will drop $100. I'm keeping these damn phones until they break and just getting the cheap ones next time, for me they all do the same shit anyway. Somehow when I left CA I was only paying $100 a month for Time Warner/Spectrum or whatever it is now because they actually lowered my bill when I bitched. The other internet company out here has shit for speeds where I live, and is somehow considered worse with customer service, and I don't have any interest in the dumpster fire that is Directv. Is Dish shit too? I guess it doesn't matter because Cox has the only reliable internet where I live.
  15. Like I said awhile ago, 2020 has been officially delayed until next year. It's not going to be 2021, it's going to be 2020 part 2, for reals this time.
  16. I mean you can definitely post the obscure elitist stuff, I just want this thread to keep the intent of the original, where it's just suggestions of good metal, and I don't want it to delve into omg you posted Metallica you poser that's not real metal, that kind of shit. I want this thread to be a positive place where we can share our favorite metal albums and help each other discover new music, and not a bunch of fighting over who has the best taste in metal. And much like the original thread turned me onto a bunch of stuff I had never heard of, I already got a couple things off this thread to get into that I never heard of before.
  17. Had a dream that had this album in it which made me do my annualish listen: Artist: Edge of Sanity Album: Crimson Track listing: Crimson My intro to the album song, it could definitely have a little more variety for a single 40 minute song. I don't know if it's quite the masterpiece it's frequently held up to be, but it still holds up for me going on 25 years later. I've heard it described as "progressive death metal" if you haven't heard it and want to imagine what it sounds like, but that's just a fancy way of phrasing a 40 minute long death metal song.
  18. Update from management is that two people have kids that "may have been exposed to the virus" at school and those 2 parents will be working at home the next 2 weeks. Apparently a handful of people already left the office after hearing the first rumor.
  19. I'm the complete opposite sadly. My dad did relatively well and worked a lot so whenever there was a problem he would just hire someone to come do it. So I'm like the least handy guy ever, which is a bit of a problem now that I own a house myself. He did start doing stuff himself when he retired out of boredom, so maybe there is hope for me yet.
