Hunter Biden may argue that crack cocaine use doesn't prevent him from owning firearms

Recommended Posts

For those unaware, when you buy a gun you fill out a federal background check form.  One of the questions asked on the form discusses the use of drugs:

Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?
Warning: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized
for medicinal or recreational purposes in the state where you reside.

Lying about drug use on the form is a felony, but it's not often enforced, probably because people don't normally record themselves ingesting drugs in the same timeframe as when they purchase a firearm.

Ah Hunter, the guy the right has vilified as the lynch pin of all things unfair and evil, and the left couldn't possibly care less about. I remain baffled that we even hear about him.

The one and only reason we hear about him is because the left rightfully vilified Trump's kids, but the only reason that ever happened is because they were given roles in the administration. However, that's a level of nuance too complicated for the right-wing rage.
