Commissar SFLUFAN
Zynga's current market capitalization is $6.72 billion, so TT paid just under twice that amount.

Commissar SFLUFAN
Take-Two Interactive stock is down over 10% in pre-market trading which isn't surprising as this acquisition is nearly 80%T financed by TTI stock which will dilute current shareholder value. stepee
Couldn’t 12.7 billion pay for a new studio making a new GTA game if rockstar doesn’t want to do it instead?

crispy4000
Buying Zynga isn't how you make better video games. It's how you build better virtual slot machines and money pits.

I think we’re seeing the acquisition for all the mini-games we’ll get to play with our homies in GTA6.
TwinIon
So, will the F2P GTA mobile game be GTA 5, GTA 6, or a whole separate endeavor? Since I don't have a ton of interest in GTA multiplayer, I might prefer them separating the two. Build GTA 6 as a typical AAA single player game, and then build a separate GTA Online that's free to play across mobile/consoles/etc. Basically what Halo Infinite did, but with mobile. I'm sure that existing GTA Online players don't like the idea of moving to a new game, so maybe the existing GTA 5 Online experience will just evolve into a mobile game. Not that R* needs Zynga to either build the mobile version or show them how to monetize it.
