There are some really cool effects that change the map when you kill the elemental drakes. My group is mainly grinding out ARAM's at the moment but there is a hilarious limited time game mode called Nexus Blitz you should check out. The Pokemon Company has already said that the game will be free to play with stuff like cosmetics being for sale. I expect cute little hats and maybe even shiny skins.
