Japanese regulators are notorious for frowning on the acquisition of Japanese companies by foreign firms, so I wouldn't put my bets on Redmond for this one. Sega Sammy buying them would be the best case scenario for gamers. I don't think they'd get sold to a non-Japanese company and a company like Sony or Nintendo owning them would suck.
