Finished Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3. The first game I ever owned as a kid(on NES) I finally beat it for the first time on my own. Don't care I got the benefit of saves and all that here. I'm bad at old platformers and this was gonna be the only way I could ever do it. Husband got me a bunch of imported Dragon Quest games for Christmas. Some of the ones that got away in Japan. I was really pleased.

Ohhhh, and I love the character of Venus Van Dam. That episode where they rescue her son was surprisingly touching. Loved it. And her and Tig together, just fucking great. I love seeing Tig’s soft side. I hope she makes another appearance in the last season.

Yeah, it’s been slow, I mostly just watch it at work on lunch or while I’m on the treadmill. Plus, it’s just so heavy I can’t binge it easily. Just watched the opener for season 7 and yep, this is gonna be dark. I hate Gemma.

Season 6 done. Well. That was one of the most devastating episodes of tv I’ve ever watched. I knew Tara’s fate was coming because it’s an older show and that was a spoiler I encountered a long time ago, but how that went down was just terrible. For Jax to finally step up and own his actions, their reconciliation, just for a miscommunication to end it all. Horrific. Fuck Gemma. I know her ultimate fate, too, but it doesn’t make that easier. Gonna have to watch her hide her guilt for another season. Overall thoughts, it was a solid season. Couldn’t help but feel a bit bad for a Clay at the end. But it was right. Roosevelt was basically a good man who wanted to be a good cop and I hated to see him go like that. Hope Juice gets his karma. What a weak guy. Some of the plotting was over the top and convoluted, especially Tara’s miscarriage plan. Guess the final season is going to be Jax‘s road to full on villain. Tara was the last person grounding him. oh, and Jimmy Smits remains a great addition. Charming and funny and basically a guy you wanna root for. I hope he gets out of this mess by the time it all ends.

TotK is still my GotY, but I don't have much interest in BG3. RE4 Remake was masterful and replaces the original in my Top 10 of all time. AW2 was good and while it's not my favorite game, it was really cool to see a studio get so creative and be able to take all these chances with a game when you just don't see that with many big budget games anymore. I'm not at all bothered by those who love it enough to give it GotY.

I really want the Dragon Quest 3 remake, but no idea when it’s coming.

I'll get Super PRincess Peach and Paper Mario remake, but overall I'm not yet seeing a bunch I just have to have.

I’ll be real, I’ve beaten every one of the games in the NSMB series, but it’s been so long, I can’t recall enough to rank them. I played them as they released. I certainly haven’t disliked any of them and as best I can recall, NSMB2 on 3DS is probably the weakest.

Yeah, I’m not a person that feels a need to hoard games and other media. When I finish a big game, I’m fine with deleting it. I used to be wore about it, but now it’s just whatever. I’m good. Same with the server. 12TB of space. We had all 20 seasons of the original Law and Order downloaded and just delete them as we finish a season. Not like I’m gonna rewatch it anytime soon, or ever.

So I started Spider-Man 2 last night and got a couple hours in and it’s fun as expected. Sucks I gotta work three in a row, but I’ll definitely be playing this weekend. Also just decided to play New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe on Switch. Just been in Nintendo mood and I haven’t really played this since I beat the WiiU original. Since I’m working tonight, I might play a bit of Super Mario World on my Pocket when these patients finally go to sleep.

I just need to get a few gift cards and I’m done. Ready for this to be over.
