  1. No no we are rooting for the Yankees here.
  2. This September is gonna add a ton of anxiety to my life.
  3. This man has the least juice of anyone on the planet. 0-17 and Caleb Williams sits out a year rather than play for that organization.
  4. Bad drivers all buy disgustingly huge trucks, call them "rigs", and then never use them for anything other than hauling groceries and killing kids in crosswalks.
  5. August (this was a fun month for me! A lot of really good ones) A Place in the Sun 4/5 I'm a big Montgomery Cliff fan, and he's great in this. This might be the first Elizabeth Taylor movie that I've seen. Absolutely stunning. I love the ending. The Conformist 4.5/5 I read the book previously, so it was fun to see the differences. The cinematography is gorgeous, especially the way buildings and interiors are shot. The contrast between the hollow, spacious, and cold fascist Italian buildings and the warm, crowded, gregarious French buildings really stands out. Dog Day Afternoon 4/5 Al Pacino's best role? Think so. The Last Waltz 5/5 Watched this due to current events. Robbie Robertson's charisma just pops out of the screen. The Misfits 3.5/5 This was fine. Maybe a bit disappointing because of the talent involved (Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, Eli Wallach, and John Huston). But a nice rumination on the ending of a certain kind of live. Sorcerer 4/5 Also watched this due to current events (too many deaths recently!). It's better than Wages of Fear, but I do think Wages of Fear does a few things better (mainly creating a friendship between the main pair). But this one has some of the tautest and most intense scenes. Great soundtrack too. Harlan County USA 4.5/5 A documentary! Kind of rare for me, I don't watch them a ton. Watching this should make you furious; companies are doing the same bullshit now that they are doing then, just unions are now a whole lot weaker. Love the use of music, some incredible folk and protest songs throughout. The Red Shoes 5/5 Wow. I might have a new favorite movie. The Archers are geniuses and I will be watching every single thing that they've made (I've already seen Black Narcissus and I'm currently watching Colonel Blimp now!). It is gorgeous, it is dramatic, it is funny, the colors and soundtrack are great, and it has a 15 minute ballet scene in the middle of the film that is as compelling as any scene of any movie. 5 stars, 10 out of 10. Highly recommend, will watch again.
  6. But the only way to win a Republican primary is to dive deep into the stupid muck and conspiracy mire. There's no other way.
  7. Zaslav’s legacy is going to be gutting a service, losing millions of subscribers, and walking away with millions in bonuses.
  8. Julio has some kind of nerve issue with his foot. Hopefully the 3 days off helps. Cause if he misses a lot of time…
  9. We are getting new films from Scorsese, Scott, Fincher, and Mann. Some damn good times coming up.
  10. ‘Napoleon’: Ridley Scott Has A “Fantastic” Four and a Half Hour Cut He’d Like to Release — World of Reel WWW.WORLDOFREEL.COM Ridley Scott’s “Napoleon” hasn’t even been released yet, but its filmmaker is already banging the drums for his original director’s cut to get released. Ridley Scott says he has a 4.5 hour cut…so if it’s anything like Kingdom of Heaven then the theater cut will be fine, and the director’s cut will be fantastic.
  11. Julio’s gonna win MVP at this rate.
  12. Arizona cut Colt McCoy. Thank god. That fucking guy is 3-0 against the Seahawks for some reason.
  13. Castillo/Kirby/Logan in a playoff series is gonna be disgusting. The bullpen is a bit shaky and the depth has taken a hit with injuries, but if they can make it to the playoffs the top of the rotation is downright nasty.
  14. The only freedom afforded by the 2nd Amendment is the freedom to be killed in a grocery store/mall/church/school or other public space.
  15. 3 people dead after ‘racially-motivated’ shooting at store on Kings Road: Sheriff WWW.NEWS4JAX.COM News4JAX has received numerous calls and emails regarding heavy Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office presence Saturday on Kings Road near Canal Street. I’d like to thank the 2nd Amendment for making this possible.
  16. Me and my brother are 3 days apart, so almost actually 2 years. It was fine. Just a big ol celebration. Congrats! And congrats to @SaysWho? for the new job. And boo to @Jason for not planning his Scotch purchase out.
