Fair, and im actually sorry I brought it up, I don’t want to color her experience of the show. Like you, I was still very entertained, even if i had major issues with the way things happened.

It’s not, but disco is completely devoid of it. And you take one of my many problems with it, instead of my complaints as a whole. The captain should not be giggling in the mess with her crew. Everything adds up. It’s an awful show, and an even worse Star Trek show. I don’t even know how they made Burnham so unlikeable, it’s quite a feat, because she’s incredibly charismatic and charming in real life, and fantastic in almost everything else I’ve seen her in. But god she’s awful in Disco. Four full seasons in, I know less about the Disco bridge crew than I did about SNW’s after a single season, except for Tilly.

God that’s a bad list. Discovery is absolutely the worst. TOS is wonderful, and Picards 3rd season alone puts it ahead of all the new shows, even though I love SNW. And Voyager isn’t DS9 or TNG good, but it’s still a great series that is bettEr than all the new stuff. I would say DS9 TNG Voyager Picard (s3 is the best season of trek) SNW Enterprise (s3&4 are incredible, minus the Finale) TOS Lower Decks (I truly enjoy it, just can’t take it seriously) Prodigy TAS Discovery (buried deep down where hopefully nobody can find it). hell, I would even put Fan made Star Trek Continues above Discovery. That show was just awful from day 1. Spocks sister, human trying to be vulcan, starting a war, the lack of any military protocol on ship whatsoever, the awful story full of holes every season, the Burn. Honestly, the online good things that came out of Disco were Saru (who should have been Captain from the moment the OG captain died), Lorca, and the crew of SNW. Apparently it’s viewership was awful throughout, so Im glad SNW and Picard S3 seem to have succeeded with reports of high viewership (SNW is reported to be the highest streamed show this summer, anf it deserves it. The only real miss for me was the musical) Also La’an and Uhura were the best in the musical because both had music careers before they were actresses. Everyone else basically had their songs built around their specific musical “Talents”.

God, I know she’s one of the most beautiful women in the world, but I’ll never understand how Gadot became a “Name”. She is genuinely one of the worst actresses in Hollywood.

I honestly think Amber Heard being in that movie, and the vitriol towards her even a year later, is going to hurt it pretty badly. Much like I believe Flash was hurt by its star (on top of being not very good).

700m is massive amounts of cash to us, but to a multinational company like yellow, it’s probably a quarterly operating budget. No way it was going to save them long term in this economy.

I agree the treatment of the women’s team has been awful. The 15yo boys thing isn’t people “saying it”, it actually happened, I believe the final was 5-1 vs the U15 boys team they played. But I honestly don’t see that as any kind of insult to them, its just proof of sexual dimorphism in sports once children reach puberty. i do think that making one person the face of a national team hurts the team as a whole though. Rapinoe brings a lot of hate with her that gets transferred to a whole team, most of whom the haters can’t even name. It should be about the team, not about politics or personal beliefs. While Rapinoe has the absolute right to say anything she wants, I’m not sure bringing all that unwanted attention on the rest of the team is good for them. The women’s team was beloved until after the 2016 election when a few basically refused Trumps proposal for the whole team, so I don’t think that this is because they are women at all, but more because the star got very, very loud about politics, so the whole team got shuffled to the left side of the current political division and became an object of the culture war.

Same as PA, a potato could have beaten Oz, but if GOP hadn’t run an out of touch fool who humiliated himself multiple times Fetterman would have probably been destroyed. Goergia was another case of awful candidates. A brain dead, pathological liar came extremely close to winning against Warnock. Texas isn’t full of bumbling fools, you’re comparing apples to oranges.

Except the reality is Biden only beat him by 40k votes and Trump has a better chance of winning this time as it stands now (yes I know the election is still 15 months off) as Biden’s support has floundered, especially among young people and black males. Especially with people like west running for the many people who have no interest in supporting either candidate.
