  1. TBF it's only in two games and there haven't been a ton of comparisons yet. The biggest thing is that, from what I read, it looks like HDR can't be used at the same time as FSR3 for some reason (I assume it'll be fixed by EOY)
  2. Yes, less artifacting, though, it could be that the DLSS screen is a rendered frame and the FSR3 is generated Hardware Unboxed, but I don't recommend watching their comparison videos tbh, there's a heavy bias from one of the "journalists" there IMO that make them hard to watch vs someone like Gamers Nexus or DF.
  3. I haven't looked much, but for AM5 (7800x3D) it would be an X670 from MSI or ASUS most likely. If I didn't care about it syncing with my Corsair RGB it might be a GIGABYTE X670 AORUS ELITE AX
  4. I’m on AM4 so my mobo won’t help you (5900x CPU) It’s a ASUS Dark Hero Pro, I’d need to upgrade if I pull the trigger on a 7800x3D. One of the reasons I haven’t done it is because current AMD AM5 mobos kinda suck with RAM as they become unstable if using more than two sticks over 5000-5666mhz; since I have a ton of RGB and like it, I’d want 4 sticks for aesthetic purposes, and Corsair is dragging their feet on releasing DDR5 dummy RAM (it’s just blank sticks with the RGB heatsink) like they have with DDR4
  5. According to Digital Foundry, you need to fully exit and restart the game when switching AA or DLSS settings or it breaks the game and also might reset some RT settings (that won’t show as changed until you fully reboot the game). I had the DF video on in the BG while cleaning, though, so maybe I misheard, but this happened with Forza Horizon 5 too iirc. They mentioned when switching from DLSS/DLAA to TAA that the performance was about the same but then they realized that RT reflections turned off on the cars after changing settings. There also seems to be a memory leak that starts when changing graphics settings unless you manually exit and restart the game (this mem leak when changing settings seems to be a super common thing now, lots of recent AAA titles have this)
  6. There’s been price drops on it making it ridiculously tempting, if it goes below $400 with the prime sale next week I might break
  7. Let's Fact Check The Most Ludicrous Moment In The Beekeeper Trailer - /Film WWW.SLASHFILM.COM Is honey really flammable? /Film threw caution (and health and safety) to the wind to find out after watching the trailer for The Beekeeper.
  8. You can already hack Ray Reconstruction into Cyberpunk 2077 without the path tracing limitation, but Nvidia promises to open it up officially soon | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Ray Reconstruction makes Cyberpunk 2077 look absolutely stunning, but it can only be enabled with path tracing, or via some hacks. @stepee @legend
  9. I’m surprised that The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob’s Burgers all premiered with new episodes this past Sunday. I know that the part of the SAG-AFTRA union that does VA work didn’t strike until sometime in August, but with the writers striking in May I didn’t think they had anything recorded, unless they did the recordings while the writers were on strike? I thought this would be the first year in over three decades that there was no Treehouse of Horror
  10. I feel like AC games are barely stealth and you can just use stealth to get the drop on an enemies before being a wrecking ball. (Not counting occasional forced stealth auto-fail if you’re spotted sections) I haven’t watched a review yet so maybe they’re forcing this to be more stealthy? I haven’t gotten to Cyberpunk or Starfield yet, plus I still want to get MK1 and should probably finish Jedi Survivor at some point
  11. Actually, something might be wrong with their setup? Maybe outdated drivers…? Tom Warren has much better results at 1440p native (which should technically be within 5-10% of 4k with DLSS at quality):
  12. I truly believe that the release of the 4000 series has made developers ridiculously lazy in terms of optimization. The 3090 Ti to 4090 is the biggest generation to generation leap ever made in GPUs, and devs just went “oh, we’ll use these $1600 GPUs that just came out within the past year as the standard for max settings instead of optimizing our games and/or making them look significantly better”.
  13. It’s a shame because the actual driving/racing has improved along with the gameplay/racing mechanics and physics; there’s just no sense of “progression” and it, for me at least, makes me abandon the games much sooner compared to the amount of near endless hours I put into the first 4 titles.
  14. Forza Motorsport's PC Performance Is Highly Disappointing WCCFTECH.COM We tested the new Forza Motorsport game on PC. Unfortunately, its performance is currently disappointing even on a high-end configuration. 7800x3D w/4090, 4k max settings, DLSS set to performance… sub-40fps avg. @stepee @Mr.Vic20
