    I don't think AMD could have done it any other way, but it's definitely a disappointment and Intel has a real opening here to offer better all-around performance with their monolothic die approach (for the price of a car).

    I honestly don't blame the Sheriff. The fault completely lies with the law and the vagueness of how it can or can't be invoked. A shooter only has to claim he was "standing his ground" and then the case has to be investigated. There might be more nuance than that, but that's the gist. The impression I got from the Sheriff's statement was that the guy is a shitty person, but if you want things to change then you better review the law.

    The 2990WX kicks ass in just a handful of tests, but in applications that use all the threads WHILE needing memory, it completely chokes. The 2950X with half the CPUs doesn't have this problem and so can often beat its larger brother in many productivity tests (and games).

    Yeah I agree it doesn't make much sense given his age. But there are plenty of other good choices.

    It's hard for me to believe that Intel would allow themselves to remain on uneven footing for more that two years at most. It didn't take much longer than that to drop Netburst and completely change their architectural roadmap in the wake of the Athlon 64.

    I love it when they accidentally speak the truth. I don't think anyone, not even Mueller, would contest that corruption absolutely led to this investigation.
