  1. My quality of life was higher in suburban Detroit than it is in suburban Toronto. Higher wages, lower taxes, significantly cheaper housing, better schools and much lower cost of living.
  2. If you had to live with them, along with the changing exchange rate, it would probably be worse.
  3. Thanks. I think it may be hard to justify the price increase over a TUF board (or a Z690 STRIX), but keeping the options open for OC, PCIe v5.0 NVMe drives is making me lean in the direction of overspending.
  4. Wild Card Feature Game Los Angeles Chargers $5,000 QUESTIONS 1) Chargers TD 2) Tied 3) Giants/Vikings 4) Ravens/Bengals 5) Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals

But I'm not 100% sure that I really need a STRIX.
  6. Managed to snag an ASUS TUF 4080 for $30 under the price of a 4080 FE. Was planning on a 4070Ti, but....
  7. My local Canada Computers has a Corsair iCue H150i AIO (refurbished) for $130. The new version comes with the AIO, 3 RGB case fans and their RGB/fan controller -- if it's as advertised, that will be hard to pass up. I'm going to check it out after work.
  8. They have 4 series of regular-sized PSUs (in order of the ranking on their website) CX (Bronze), RM (Gold), HX (Platinum), AX (Titanium). ATM, I am planning on buying a Corsair RM1000x for my build.
  9. It's on sale at the moment. It's a quality PSU -- it's there middle of the range PSU -- you CAN spend more, but probably don't need to. Not sure where you are, but you can also order directly from Corsair. If you want to step up to 1000W, it's also on sale for $240.
  10. YouTube cares about selling ads to advertisers, they don't care about "controversial content" per se. They only really care if advertisers do. I thought that creators had very few restrictions if they didn't care about being demonetized.
  11. YouTube creators are the whiniest bunch of folks ever -- particularly the smaller channels. YouTube is, reportedly, still not profitable for anyone but the creators. YouTube is trying to sell ads, largely to big corporations -- who typically don't want to be associated with controversial content. If you want $$$ from big corporations, sometimes you have to make some compromises to your vision -- even if it isn't dropping the f-bomb every 2 seconds.
  12. You can get a cheap 850W Corsair for $160. I haven't seen any name brand 1000W PSUs for a decent price in Canada in my recent searches. I wouldn't bother waiting for the ATX3.0 PSUs, they don't seem to be readily available, and there is very limited information on when they will be. I suspect they will be priced at a big premium as well.
  13. Starfield is a Bethesda open-world game, you probably should be waiting for 6-months after release to wait for the game-breaking bugs to be fixed.
  14. It's also the very low amount of memory on the consoles. You combine DLSS 3.0, RT and memory -- PCs are capable of so much more on a graphical basis.
  15. You hated the gameplay of The Witcher 3 but liked the gameplay of RDR2?
  16. You might want to try this to confirm it is your PSU.
  17. Pierre Poilievre is a douche. However, that doesn't make Trudeau any better of a PM. Polls, despite Poilievre's personal unpopularity ARE showing the CPC's getting a plurality of the seats if an election were to be held today.
  18. Kelly McParland: Morneau confirms image-obsessed Trudeau's management is 'sorely lacking' NATIONALPOST.COM Liberals face a dilemma: If they stick with unpopular Trudeau, another minority is the best they can hope for The second former Trudeau cabinet minister is about to release a book that is scathing of the current Prime Minister.
