  1. Bans work well. We can then have the cops kill more black people for selling tobacco, like are being killed now over other drugs.
  2. My awesome idea: Remove nicotine from all tobacco products, but still allow nicotine laced products like vapes, gum, etc.
  3. FDA revives effort to ban menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars WWW.FOX5DC.COM The FDA said Thursday it will work toward a ban of menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars. But any menthol ban would take years to implement and will likely face legal challenges from tobacco companies. I don't want people to smoke, but I also don't feel it's the government's job to prevent people from consuming tobacco.
  4. Funny enough, SCOTUS kind of threw out their previous 2nd Amendment precedent from the 1930s, when they said that only arms that are used in the military are protected. Also, SCOTUS kept black people in chains in the 1850s, because, in part, they feared if blacks were free, they would be able strut around armed like white men: "It would give to persons of the negro race, who were recognized as citizens in any one State of the Union, the right ... to keep and carry arms wherever they went."
  5. Banning assault weapons would likely be considered unconstitutional, as they are "in common use". Also, the people who weren't allowed to own weapons at the founding of the nation were BLACK people.
  6. I like how on the group's Q&A page, one of the questions asks if marijuana will still be legal after these counties are integrated into Idaho: "LOL, but we may allow hemp/cbd with up to 0.3% THC someday!"
  7. Idaho is really just vying for a path to the sea for their eventual armada, which they will use to conquer Madagascar.
  8. From your homeboy Marx: “Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary”
  9. Equality under the law if you are rich and famous.
  10. The restrictions that Scalia mentions can be interpreted as requiring training, etc. in order to get a license to carry. That isn't changing the court's last decision - it's making it more clear how much the government can restrict civil liberties.
  11. "May issue" is a crock of shit and you all know it. If the only way to actually get a license to carry is if you are rich or famous, that's fucked up. I hope SCOTUS strikes down "may issue" licenses.
  12. I think we should give the vaccines to India and others, but this is borderline bonkers to basically say America "owes" India these doses.
  13. If you were curious about the amount of legroom in the Dragon vs the Soyuz:
  14. Yep. The booster was previously used on the Crew-1 launch from November, and the Capsule was from the Demo-2 launch last May.
  15. SpaceX launched 4 more humans to the ISS early this morning. Launch seemed to go perfectly.
