    No. Sanctuary cities/states are basically telling the federal government they will not help enforce immigration law. If the feds want to enforce immigration law, they are on their own. States who want to nullify federal gun laws are basically doing the same thing. If the feds want to enforce federal gun laws, they are on their own.

    At work, I do my best to only use "they" and "their" when writing emails. It's been ingrained to stay as gender neutral as possible in communications. But with English it's easy. Not so easy with Spanish, where just about every noun has a gender.

    Reverse cultural appropriation? I dunno. I just think it's fucking silly how whipeepo are trying to reinvent the language/culture that they never were a part of. The funny thing is, English is sort of the "odd man out" when it comes to gendered language. Many languages, including all of the ones based on Latin, use gender as part of the language. Forcing English language rules on these languages and cultures is dumb.

    I'm happy that the screws are tightening against these low wage work places, to be honest. Most of these places can absolutely afford to pay their workers substantially more, all without drastically increasing prices. The downside is that this upward pressure on wages will undoubtedly cause more small businesses to fail as they can't compete with big businesses like Walmart, Target, McDonalds, and others.

    Absolutely. It's too flimsy. Choose something like a Styrofoam cooler. They are light, sturdy, and cheap! Stick it to the man by pumping gas into your 2.99 Walmart styrofoam cooler!

    So you want to charge someone with murder or manslaughter, even if the DA has no evidence to support such a charge? Because that's what the DA would have to do - charge them with a crime, in order to have them go to trial.

    I do like how the anti-death penalty DA in Fulton County is going to pursue the death penalty in the case of the massage parlor shooter. I guess some crimes are heinous enough to warrant death!     The right thing to do is to raise the price of gas to discourage hoarding. Maybe double the price after 10 gallons, and triple the price after 15 gallons.
