  1. Well, buddy, then so are all the mass shootings. And gun violence in general. But if I had to guess, you're more likely than not of a Christian denomination, so you confess your sins, and sleep like a baby. But make no mistake--that blood is on the hands of all who support the laws that currently protect the 2nd amendment.
  2. You mean according to half the Supreme court. And I'm sure the founding fathers intended every civilian to own guns that could shoot hundreds of rounds in minutes. Different time, different age. 99% of guns have no place in a modern society.
  3. You mean like creating sensible gun regulations in Indiana? That would stifle the Chicago gun market quite a bit. On a different note, I'm all for the abolishment of the second amendment. Or at least enforce it as it was originally intended. Not this "gun ownership is a right for all" crap. My (extreme) solution would be to ban any and all guns that can hold more than 5 rounds at a time. I'm also 1000% for mandatory biometrics.
  4. I miss TMNT pizzas from Schwan's.
  5. Actually... spoiler alert. If you're a resident of Toledo, Ohio, perhaps it might be best to not congregate in large public areas for the next couple of weeks, just to be on the safe side.
  6. Chuck Norris didn't become a meme because he's a better fighter than everyone else. It's because his contracts said he had to be.
  7. With every other Industry, if murder happens, regulations increase. EXCEPT the gun industry. Why? Most regulations for other industries, such as passenger planes or automobile purchases, won't affect those industries' sales, as those industries are more or less necessities. Gun ownerships is a luxury. No one NEEDS a gun, outside of the military/MP. You increase regulations on guns, it has a direct impact on that industry's bottom line, and the NRA can't have that. Profit>>>>>>human lives. At all costs. Yay capitalism.
  8. That's just flat out wrong. The movie was all homage, while elevating NOTHING... except for Michael Meyers' speed off camera. Also, best horror film from last year was far and away Hereditary.
  9. Fixed. I still have to watch this trailer. Big fan of A24, and it's getting to a point where I'll watch anything they put out.
  10. So you're saying Revenge of the Sith is one of the best Star Wars movies? And Titanic is the second best movie of all time?
  11. For the most part, I'm not the biggest fan of Leo, but his performance in this was far and away the best performance in the film, and it would be a crime if he isn't nominated for it. That little girl wasn't lying.
  12. That first episode. Fuck. Yes. Finally a hyper realistic view on superheroes that doesn't hold back. Might be the closest I'll get to seeing something like The Reckoners.
  13. I became an adult for the sole purpose of being able to not make my bed.
  14. Yeesh. I couldn't stand Beauty and the Beast. Emma Watson is great... she's just horribly miscast as Belle. This was... it was The Lion King. The animated film has always been lower on the Disney totem pole for me. It felt like a collection of scenes put one after the other for no other reason than that's what had to happen to get to the end of the story. They had a real opportunity to separate the live action from the animated version by adding a scene or two between the dissolve transition from childhood to adulthood. Instead all we got was Be Our Guest (which was the highlight of the movie). The voice acting was all well enough done... except for Donald Glover. I'm a fan of the actor, but it really sounded like he phoned this perform in. Some of the lines were so bad it sounded like he was reading from a page. What I will say, for me at least, Aladdin is far and away their best live action remake. I'd go so far as to say I enjoyed it more than the animated film. I didn't even have an issue with the casting of Jafar--a younger actor fits, as he'd have more hunger for power. Still haven't seen Dumbo. I just can't bring myself to care enough to see it.
  15. @Jason You have no idea. Getting the proper signal and quality feed is such a giant headache with 4K. And since I'm running a soundbar, I can confirm that the switcher I have does in fact work with the soundbar. Lol.
  16. I might not be the best person to ask about that--even our house was new. I don't do well with used items.
  17. Sorry, just looked. That one's an open box... I'd be skeptical of an open box switcher. Also, it says the throughput is only 10Gbps. High end HDMI cables will send 18Gbps through, so I don't know if that would cause a bottleneck or not. But if you're not doing 4K at a high bit rate, it might not matter.
  18. What sealed the deal for me was I purposefully bought my receiver for future Atmos compatibility, and then found out that Atmos only applied to a 5 channel set up. I could do 5.1.2, but if I wanted more surround channels, it would remove the Atmos functionality, so I'd only have 7.2. That seriously pissed me off when I read that. Sucks for all of us, too, as the Nakamichi system I own was $800 on Prime Day... like 4 days after I purchased the system at full price. But it's absolutely worth full price, so I don't feel too bad about it.
  19. I've got a Pioneer VSX-1131 receiver and 5.0 Sony speaker set (never got the sub) I have to sell now.
  20. For soundbars, I couldn't more highly recommend Nakamichi. https://www.nakamichi-usa.com/ They have quite a few different sets, some that are more accommodating to apartments, but if you want to go all out, they have that too. I just got their 2019 Shockwafe Pro 7.2.4 system that comes with: • 45" soundbar with two center speakers, two front left speakers, two front right speakers, a surround left speaker, and a surround right speaker • Two rear channel satellites each with a mid-range driver and tweeter (can be set up as Atmos ceiling reflection speakers) • TWO 8" downward firing subs cabinets. They have one model higher that's 9.2.4 and comes with an extra pair of satellite speakers and makes the subs 10". Let me tell you--the 7.2.4 system is no joke. Our single family home shakes. So much so that I have to rethink some of our decorations and wall shelves to better reduce vibration. My biggest concerns with the wireless system were connection delay, sound cutting out, and a soundbar system being able to reproduce the soundscape of a larger system... I can confirm that none of my concerns came to fruition. Sound is instant, perfectly synced, stays connected, and the sound produced is nothing less than theatrical. I went back and forth for some time debating which soundbar to get, or if I should even get one... I can safely say I made the right call. As far as switchers go, they have some good ones on Amazon. I have the Smartoo 23031, which is a 3-port switcher. I've had zero issues with mine. They have a 5-port version, too. What's nice is that it comes with auto-switch functionality, so it automatically recognizes which input is on, so you don't have to manually change inputs every time.
