  1. I really should be keeping a list of statements that, when stated non-ironically, render the endorser immediately not worth listening to on any topic. The short list off the top of my head includes: pussification of America virtue signaling SJWs constitutional originalist socially liberal / fiscally conservative "real" America sovereign citizen
  2. ANDROID USES WIDGETS APPLE USES APPS WHATEVER PHONE I OWN DOES IT BEST
  3. Animal Crossing New Horizons is in the top 30 best selling video games of all time. Every Pokemon game is in the top 50. You don't know what you're talking about. Also what is this "casual" nonsense when it comes to Pokemon or Animal Crossing? People who play those games invest hundreds if not thousands of hours in them, there's nothing casual about it. People are right, this thread is 2006 era shit, lul
  4. One of these years I won't just stop doing this midway through.
  5. I'm really psyched on playing Pandemic Legacy Season 0 and running Cyberpunk Red at some point. I have Thousand Year Old Vampire as well and have yet to pay it. My tabletop backlog is a problem I need to address from both ends in 2021.
  6. Between watching Wall E, Minority Report, Dredd, reading the core sourcebook for Cyberpunk Red, observing the Cyberpunk 2077 debacle, etc., I've come to the conclusion that the main flaw with the common depiction of the dystopian future is that at some point before the shit hit the fan... we built housing and invested in infrastructure.
  7. Fixed the capitalization in the OP before I lost my mind.
  8. Fuck 2020 for running up the score at the buzzer. One of my favorite choruses in any song, ever:
  9. Cap was on a national tour where he's shoulder pressing motorcycles, there's no way he didn't get it in with some of the women on that USO tour. When Hunger Games camera woman goes to make out with him, he's not shocked, he's not pulling back. He's used to that. He tells Black Widow that he's 90, not dead when she asks him if their kiss was his first since WWII. He makes out with Sharon in front of Falcon and Bucky. Cap fucks, if his Super Solder Serum was sexually transferrable the USO would have KO'd Hydra in 15 minutes, and plumbers unions o'er the land should take him to court for the amount of pipe he's laid without ever paying dues.
  10. Okay I finished just about everything at this point, I think. There's a quest or two around, but the alliance map is done, the Order is done, and I think everything in Valka's hut. Overall I really enjoyed my time with it. As I said before, I wish combat was a little more engaging. Most people aren't going to spend as much time as I do in the game so some of my beef regarding repetition won't jive for everyone, but... maybe 20 hours into my 85ish hour run, I think I saw just about everything combat wise the game would ever throw at me. The monastery raids all feel VERY samey, different ways to approach them would have been welcome. I also appreciated that the game did acknowledge my exploration from time to time... if I was given quests to clear X or sabotage stuff in Y, and I'd already done it, I'd get credit for it. I do miss some of the bigger forts from Odyssey; most of them here are linked to sieges so there's never a great reason to go to those spots before the story forces you there. The settlement stuff was pretty disappointing, honestly. I don't think I popped a feast even once, I just kept forgetting. If Gunnar can max your stuff out without having to upgrade, if none of what you can buy is based on your status... what's the point? Aside from a few buildings that you can make related to the story, there's almost no reason to spend time doing it. One of the best parts of Ass Bro was getting a super dope assassin squad so you could call on them to pop out of anywhere and dunk on people. Not having any real way to upgrade how well your crew raids or SOMETHING seems like a pretty big missed opportunity. The story and characters were pretty good! I liked where a bunch of things ended up, and that there were actual consequences for some of the battles. I wonder if the DLC will add stuff after the endgame that connects the ending with some of the modern world stuff a little more gracefully. Overall I think the game being a little tighter and a having a bit more combat variety and engaging the player with meaningful settlement upgrades would have made this really special. As it stands, it's still pretty darn good! EDIT - shoot I forgot I need to hunt the anomalies!
  11. I’m definitely reading between the lines a little but I honestly don’t think it’s too much of a stretch. They clearly both showered, the sexual tension that they played up throughout the movie is resolved from that point on, etc. I prefer to read the scene that way, especially since it happening in Sam’s house makes it funnier.
  12. It’s heavily implied in Winter Soldier during the scene where Cap and Widow are in Sam’s apartment cleaning up post ambush.
  13. Yeah. Diana is oddly prudish for someone who's supposed to be motivated and driven by love? Captain America was a character out of time as well, had a love from WWII, but he got to tell Black Widow that he'd kissed someone since he got out of the ice, bang Black Widow later, hook up with Sharon Carter, etc. There's something weird about Wonder Woman falling in love with the first man she ever met and then never having a crush in forty years. Come on now.
  14. This is a weird movie. I don't think it's BAD but I also think it's simultaneously trying to be tied to whatever the DCU is right now (Batman said she hid herself from the world between Wonder Woman and Batman v Superman, which means nobody knew about her, so let's have her destroy security cameras) and not wanting to be painted into a corner (Diana talks to literally everyone in the world within range of a television which Batman wouldn't have missed, she fought in places where there would definitely be security cameras, etc.). Either be a slave to canon or just focus on telling this story, trying to do both is weird. I appreciate that Diana solving problems beyond just punching them hard is on brand for her and honestly something I wish more superhero movies did, but something about her character was off this whole movie and I cannot really put my finger on what.
  15. I have a couple quests left to finish, but based on where I'm at I assume I know 99% of the meaningful twists. So here's a couple nits to pick about some of the ways those twists were handled. Final reveal spoilers
