  1. HZD and Bloodborne are coming so far. Well at least according to pretty good sources for Bloodborne. The report was Bloodborne Remaster coming to PS5 that can play 60fps, and also releasing on PC. I think it's fair to say Sony will be porting over all their exclusives to PC over time. Def not going Microsofts route of Day and Date, but it wouldn't shock me if they try to launch on PC a few years after. There's a reason they rebranded their studios to Playstation Studios or whatever its called now.
  2. Keep in mind, launch of Xbox One, the Xbox Division wasn't nearly in the position at Microsoft as it is today. Phil Spencer was promoted to Microsofts Executive Leadership Team in 2017. After that, I think he finally got Microsoft to be willing to open their pocketbooks a bit more for the Xbox Division. They stared buying up studios to bolster their 1st party after that. This will be the first new generation with that shift within Microsoft, and that is probably why Phil has said that Microsoft is giving him the wiggle room on price. I think Microsoft is clearly coming into this gen way more confident and ready to compete.
  3. I intended to get both XSX and PS5 at launch, assuming both are $500. If both are more expensive, I'll probably go XSX first, then a PS5 when a bundle hits or price drops a bit. Their Backwards Compatibility right now still isn't clearly laid out which is actually a pretty big reason I want the console, to play all the PS Exclusives I haven't played yet, which is most of them, on the better hardware with hopefully "Boost Mode" helping performance. The launch lineup itself doesn't seem that strong, but I may need to revisit launch dates. Main games that interested me in the showing was HZD2, Demon Souls, and both of them seem to be at least a year away still. They also haven't mentioned if Last of Us 2 or Ghost of Tsushima will be updated on PS5 and given to owners for Free. Those are all pretty big things that would dictate how quickly I pick up the PS5.
  4. This best not be the price. I know it's likely a placeholder but I've seen quite a few on Twitter saying $600 or higher. I don't think it's in anyway gonna be more than $500. Realistically, how high would it have to be for you to skip it. I think $500 is my max, maybe $600. Xbox is primarily my main console do I do think I'd pay $600 for that.
  5. Haven't a lot of Sony's big 1st Party titles gone though route for expansinos. Stand Alone Games that are like 5-15 hours? Infamous Last Light Last of Us Left Behind Uncharted Lost Legacy So while it's technically a stand alone game, I can see why an exec would call it an expansion.
  6. Yeah, I assumed this would be the case. When Minecraft RTX brings a lot of high end systems to their knees, I don't expect either console to push RTX very far.
  7. Yeah, I admit I don't know a lot about the tech and what ray tracing totally is. I saw something on twitter showing screen shots of everyting else being reflected on the ground, but the Portals themselves glaringly missing. So the person suggested its baked reflections on the ground, not ray traced. I heard them mention Clank would have ray traced reflections, but I assumed that also meant that the entire game isn't using ray tracing.
  8. I think it looked alright. Don't love it, just looks like a huge router. Don't hate it like so many seem to. Solid show, but I don't think much blew me away. Kind of surprised they didn't show a little more of Spiderman, since its due to come this Holiday. It was a very quick snippet of it, and didn't really seem like much gameplay. Figured that could show off the PS5 capabilities vs PS4. The stream quality really killed a lot of the impressive visuals. GT7 looked horrible. Also, why did they tell us to wear headphones, there was no impressive 3d audio anywhere in this that I noticed. And GTAV Expanded and Enhanced not til 2nd half of 2021? Why not have that ready for this Holiday, at least the enhanced part of it. Solid show, no big surprises other than showing the box itself.
  9. They said very early development at the Game Awards so I think that was expected. My guess is 2022 but it'll be a larger game in scope compared to the original.
  10. I'm not sure if it's officially an "Xbox" Marketing deal, but Xbox debuted it at E3. So not sure if Microsoft is the company that would be showing more Elden Ring or not. I'm pumped for tomorrow, should be a great show.
  11. Yes, you leave the 1S as the Home Xbox. You need to be logged into your account on the 1X to play your games. You are right, if you lose Internet or Xbox Live goes out, you can't play your games on the 1X, only the 1S. Your wife can play on the 1X as long as you are also signed in at the same time. How often does the Internet go out though?
  12. Pretty insane. I didn't see anything posted about it and searched, if it's old sorry.
  13. MS has Game Pass, xCloud, and 15 Studios now that should start churning games out regularly this generation. I have no idea if its possible to make a portable console powerful enough to run modern day hardware, but I think if either Sony or MS released a Switch type version of their console, they'd be pretty big successes. I'm not too familiar with the Vita, I know it failed. It wasn't a Portable PS3 that could play PS3 games right? It had its own library?
  14. So I don't know enough about tech to know if this is possible, but I've thought of this myself before. I just thought, when the 4TF rumor came out, that it sounded like it just wouldn't be powerful enough to really make sense. But then I thought, with Switch being as huge a success as it is, and Microsoft's experience with Surface Tablets, could it be possible they would make a weaker Xbox that is portable. I don't know nearly enough about battery life, and heat, to know if its even possible to make a relatively small enough 4TF machine with modern cpus. Then I also thought about the Memory Stick solution, and how those portable memory sticks would be ideal for a portable device. Those of you with far more smarts than me in tech, would it be possible?
  15. I have every intention of getting one and I don't know why.
  16. It's actually not that bad now with all the updates. Not great, but far better than it was at launch.
  17. What ever happened to that hand crank mobile gaming machine. Forgot its name.
  18. Windows Central had an article stating it was Play Anywhere, they since took it down. I still dont understand why it isnt. I guess it also doesnt support HDR10.
  19. Yeah you can actually play Xbox and PC right now even though its not officially in there. I'm beat the first playthrough and am now in Adventure mode, where the difficulty def ramps up. I played all the original maps at 2.7x difficulty, and it was a decent challenge, but nothing too crazy. I look forward to getting to a higher level where I can start trying to finalize some builds. There is a decent amount of variety in loot, so I look forward to tinkering a bit. Been running solo so far as well.
  20. Is no one playing this? I've actually been really loving it. While simple, it really does a good job of having a great loot system that makes finding new loot fun and meaningful. Also has a lot if pretty varied build potential depending on the loot u find. For whatever reason it's not a Play Anywhere title though which is bullshit since it lends itself perfectly for it.
