  1. Hold R2 til the bar fills up? I've never observed a leader yet. Had no clue what the point of that is.
  2. I've put a good amount of time in now. Camera is really the only thing that has stood out to me as an issue, but as I've gotten used to it, the issue doesn't stick out to me anymore. Still think it could be better though. Combat once you unlock more abilities and get used to it, can be quite fun. At times I feel like a bad ass smoothly wrecking everyone without getting touched. Other times I can't get anything right and sloppily get through fights. Stances are a cool touch as well, and using them properly make fights way easier. So much in this game feels very very OP. Stealth is so easy, you move very quickly, and guards are absolutely oblivious to their surroundings. Coming from TLoU2, this game, even on Hard, is a cake walk if you want to play stealth. I just initiate a Stand Off in every encounter, as the combat is much more fun. The Kunai and Bombs are crazy OP, and it feels like you constantly get them dropped from enemies. I've kind of been all over the place in tackling stuff, I've done a few of the larger Main Story stuff, 3 Mythical Quests, and a bunch of the smaller stuff. It's all be pretty enjoyable. Feels a lot like a Far Cry game to me, in terms of clearing out or liberating the outposts. I haven't played the newer AC's so don't know how it compares to that. I'm digging it though, and its a huge game. I've played quite a bit the past 2 days, and prob not even half way done the bottom 1/3 of the Island. I've been streaming my run through of it, no Cam or effects or anything, just the play through, if anyone's ever curious and has questions. JPDunks4 on Twitch
  3. I ended up getting Ghost of Tsushima, as I've decided I will try to get new games and tackle them quickly, so my backlog doesn't keep growing. And that way I can participate in discussions on them here on the boards. I'll tackle backlog during the off times, which seems the next few months will give me a some time. I'll prob start tackling the GoW's after Ghosts.
  4. Finished the initial tutorial section. Initial impression is the camera is rough, making combat way less fluid than it should feel. The camera has no auto rotation or anything it seems, so if you turn to face an enemy, you also need to manually swing the camera around. I am very early so I'm sure I'll adjust to it, just feels very off. Also the camera FOV is very zoomed in, making it even more difficult to see whats going on in some combat. Game is beautiful though so far, as the world just opened up and I get to explore a bit.
  5. A pretty interesting thread on Microsoft's approach to its SSD and I/O. I don't know who this guy is, but he said he has 20 years experience as a developer. It makes sense to me, but I also kind of find it hard to believe that Sony doesn't have its own systems to cut down on memory usage. The main point seems to be that while the Sony SSD is way more capable, Microsoft's is far more efficient which closes the gap in a lot of smart ways. Main highlight -
  6. It's a decent solution. I do find the buttons in relationship to the right joystick make it tough to quickly transition back and forth between the two. Another issue I have is for basically the past 4 years I've always used an Elite Controller with 4 rear paddles, so I'm not really used to playing without them so I struggle a bit. I havent uses it a ton yet but will try to get more time in to adjust to it more. Its very comparible to the Switch though from my experience.
  7. We're u on Xbox or PS4 or PC? We had a group that would play. It was challenging but fair imo. One boss stood out as the toughest a bit later in the game. I played solo my first playthrough on normal. If you can get a lucky world roll and get a few good weapons, it makes things much easier. I def wanna revisit it with the update.
  8. I bought the Psychonauts on Xbox One at some point during a sale, never played it or know much about it. I went back and bought a bunch of Microsofts 1st Party Acquisitions earlier works to see some of the stuff they've worked on in the past. inXile probably interests me the most, but I haven't played anything they've made.
  9. I was the one hyping that rumor. Still curious what the other project they were working on was.
  10. If you look up the thread a bit, I had thisexact point. A One SAD is $20 a month on the program, One S is $23, One X is $25. So ya I expect Series S and Series X plans to be not far off those numbers.
  11. Series S will be either same price or cheaper than One X most likely, and more capable, and able to play pretty much entire Xbox One library, other than Kinect games. So why still manufacture the One X?
  12. So, does Seagate release their Memory Cards before the console launches? Or is the Console coming sooner than we think? *Edit - Apparently the website shows Holiday 2020 **Double Edit - I'm an idiot, Autumn goes til December.
  13. I just got one in, I like it quite a bit actually. Used it for Stadia so far, and it's a decent solution for this type of application.
  14. What makes you think they aren't going to be focusing on AAA? It sounds like just about every Studio they purchased were given the resources and did the hiring, and mostly all will be working on AAA Projects. And the Fanboys comment are talking about PlayStation owners that continue to beat the drum that putting games on PC is a horrible thing.
  15. I wasn't disagreeing with you. I was just highlighting just how much money there is in subscriptions, and why I think Microsoft is making all the decisions they are making. The things so many Fanboys on the internet attack them for, "I can play those games on my PC, why do I need an Xbox". Building up their subscription base has the potential to make them more money than just focusing on Hardware sales and the extra revenue tied to that.
  16. Well that's the goal now, at least for Microsoft. The $50 for XBL or PS+ per year always seemed as a nice bit of extra revenue for both companies. An extra billion or so per year. Now if Microsoft can land people on Game Pass Ultimate, and keep that sub year round as just another sub so many of us have become accustomed to having, that's $180 per year vs the $60 they get now. Most people put Game Pass at roughly 12-15 million subscribers now. I know a lot of subs are probably on entry level specials, but plenty probably aren't. 13 million @ $180 a year, is 2.3 billion. And that is with Microsofts 1st Party output not being anything too special, and no xCloud integration to try to scale it. If they can grow Game Pass to 50 million subs paying close to full price, they have a huge winner on their hands.
  17. I can't imagine them throwing away the entire Apple ecosystem with how much they want to scale this, so I'd assume it'll be compatible on Apple by launch.
  18. No, that was cloud computing. xCloud is streaming games.
