Fully vaccinated. Understanding why stopping the virus from spreading to stop mutations by continuing mask wearing for now since no vaccine is 100% effective is simple science. The problem isn't that she's in the medical field. The problem is people who aren't who seem to think that somehow makes them more qualified.

3rd part of the boss can be difficult. Not staying on any one platform for too long helped me. Make sure you have an astronaut artifact and if you're lucky to find a parasite one that'll resurrect you with a critical malfunction, get that as well.

Sometimes I'd say not doing last-gen is leaving money on the table (RE8 is selling better on PS4 in Europe over all platforms except the PS5, which accounts for half of all sales), but looking at sales of Miles Morales, as an example, shows that many people will just wait to play the next-gen version. Dunno how Sackboy fares since it's more family fare and kids may not notice as much, but 720p on PS4 is a bit too much for a game I'd buy nowadays that wasn't made a long time ago.

The Official Thread of GOP Election Rigging

Not doing this to call whyteboar out, but since he mentioned it, I'd like skillz's opinion on this: I've been seeing this mindset pop up here, and I'd be lying if I weren't starting to feel that way since I'm more leaning toward this since they're so brazen about it. But I feel like people of color look at this as a continuation of policies that have occurred for centuries. How do you view these policies? Question posed to @sblfilms as well. -

Might have another couples game to play. Glad they're doing it! I remember it was legit a fun game. -
I've been feasting on games. I'm struggling to think of many consoles that started with this much quality by May of the following year, even going back to the PS2 (granted, its best games came starting in June). I have a third game coming, three weeks in a row, this week, plus R&C next month. I'm probably set for the year if for some reason Horizon is delayed, which I'm feeling pretty good about its release.

Television Rick and Morty return June 20th
SaysWho? replied to silentbob's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
We caught an episode of this a few nights ago, and I haven’t watched the show in years. It was an episode where a snake bites Morty in outer space and then it affects a snake planet’s ability to time travel. I was laughing so freaking hard that it made me wanna watch the entire series. -
General Gaming ~*D1P's Games of 2021*~

Returnal -- Great, great game. A wonderful achievement from Housemarque. The best way to put it is that it's a roguelike, and many compare it to Metroid as a third person Super Metroid they never got. There are some things I wondered going into Returnal -- are some of the reviews saying there aren't enough permanent upgrades true? Will progression feel good? How much content is there? First, Returnal being a roguelike allows it to use the scifi "Groundhog's Day" trope effortlessly. You might as well be sci-fi for a gameplay loop like this. Second, there's plenty of progression. I don't remember as much about Dead Cells, which I think is the last roguelike I played, but I do remember permanent stat upgrades being a thing. While there isn't really any of that here, the upgrades work as follows: 1. New weapons -- you're going to find a bunch of weapons from chests and strong enemies in each biome. Finding new weapons allows them to enter that circulation. 2. Alt-fire modes -- Alt-fire modes are secondary fire on your weapons, and some of them in particular are crazy good. With them permanently unlocked, they'll also be available for weapons you pick up. 3. Weapon perks -- Weapon perks are probably underrated if you're just hearing about them. They'll shoot waves, they'll shoot homing missiles, they'll open up portals that home in on enemies, they'll increase the chance that an enemy will drop health, they'll explode on impact, they'll stagger enemies easier (crucial to get some of them in this colorful rave of enemy bullets to stop shooting at you), they'll greatly increase the rate of fire, etc. etc. etc. etc. Going into the game, even though I was looking forward to playing, weapon perks being "permanent" upgrades that'll randomly appear on weapons sounded a bit lacking, but it's really not. Those perks can transform some weapons into powerhouses. 4. Traversal -- Inaccessible places become accessible. Sometimes, this means you have an easy way to get to the next biome the next time you restart the cycle. Sometimes, that means you can get to places that have really helpful pickups to extend your health, or ether (more on that later), or suit augments. If you come across a place that's impossible to get through, it'll become possible once you get the permanent upgrade. 5. Consumable slot -- You'll get an extra consumable slot for items sometime in the game. 6. Ether -- Ether is a resource that stays with you when you die. You use it to exchange for suit upgrades that'll permanently unlock the chance of finding them in a level, to starting a cycle off with a suit artifact/augment, to exchanging for obolites that you'll use to buy temporary upgrades, to being able to resurrect yourself when you die in a biome. 7. Suit artifacts and augments -- Whether it's a datacube or something found in a hidden place or at the middle/end of a path, once you find one, you'll be able to purchase/find them during your cycle. So permanent stat upgrades aren't really a thing, and perhaps if they do another roguelike, they'll make it more of a thing. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel like I was progressing. Due to all of this, especially in Act 2, I felt I was way more prepared to handle enemies due to how good a new weapon was or how good a new upgrade was. The hollowseeker was all right early in the game but became a monster later with an upgrade that frequently comes with the weapon. The combat itself is riveting. It's fast, it controls great, it feels great, there are a few dips but it's a mostly 60fps colorful feast for the eyes, and beating a boss feels like an accomplishment. No better feeling than having a biome kick your ass several times and then finally beating the boss, knowing that you'll always be able to get to the next biome relatively quickly with the boss gone and over with. Don't sit on the soundtrack either. Biome 4 has gotten raves for the music that plays on the leadup to the boss, and it's pretty good shit. Then the boss music itself is really cool. Give this game a chance; it's worth every penny. 2021 Games Demon's Souls Remake (2nd playthrough) Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney -- Trials and Tribulations Days Gone Astro's Playroom Sackboy: A Big Adventure Ratchet & Clank (2016) Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time Ratchet & Clank Future: Into The Nexus Braid Returnal -
If you don't have a headset, your DualSense will pick up your voice. tbh, I've been floored by how easy and good the streaming/photo and video taking has been on the PS4 and PS5. I was itching for that feature on the PSWii60.

I have no idea how I forgot about that. Streaming records your voice. I'm guessing you've never used the PS4 one, eh?

Gotta love explaining that stuff to the lady. When I acquired a suit augment that allowed me to stay invincible for longer, my thought was, "Wait, there are invincibility frames?"

You know, I'm here blank-facing not figuring it out during the game, but I can put it to good use post-game while getting the true ending, so I guess whatever. I also forgot the tutorial which apparently taught you how to get these chests behind those walls. Apparently a lot of people went the whole game waiting for a biome upgrade that was never needed. I don't even remember there being a tutorial on this.
