  1. After giving up on Pacific Drive, I found myself in the mood for a nice mystery so I picked up This Bed We Made. I quite liked it. I enjoyed the vibe and the game doesn't overstay its welcome. I can go for another sub-10hr chill mystery game.
  2. Blah Wordle 980 5/6* ⬜🟨⬜🟨⬜ 🟩🟨⬜⬜🟨 🟩⬜⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Easier. Can't believe Green actually ended up being that. I thought it was too obvious/dumb to be the real solution. Connections Puzzle #258 🟦🟦🟦🟦 🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟪🟪🟪🟪 🟩🟩🟩🟩
  3. Devs have already been fighting gamers about this since the open beta. They claim it's impossible to do...doubt. I very rarely pay attention to pre-release game drama, so I missed this but of news. Here's holding out how they cave or someone mods it in. Thing is, this game is, otherwise, very gamer friendly. There's are countless difficulty toggles. You can disable damage to either you or your car. You can set it so you keep everything after death. You can disable death. You can set your car to not need gas. There are so many things you can do to make the game less stressful. Being stubborn on this one thing is wild.
  4. Didn't Returnal later add a Save on Exit? That's all I want. I just want to be able to hibernate the game and come back later without leaving my PC on for days at a time.
  5. Dammit. I really enjoyed the first couple of hours of this game. The game, however, feels out of reach for me. It's just me and the kids and this game has no mid-mission saving. Child wakes up in the middle of the night, would be nice to be able to temp save and resume so I don't have to lose the last hour of gameplay. I get that the devs don't want players to save scum this game, but there's nothing wrong with temp saves that disappear when you later resume the game. What sucks is that there's no real way to know how long an excursion will last, so I can't really tell myself "I have two hours to game tonight". Remember way back in the day when games didn't have saves and you'd have to bribe your younger brother to leave the NES on pause while you were at school? That's how this game makes me feel and I'm not paying for the electricity of a gaming PC on for 24hr straight because I want to pick up and resume this game after the kids go to bed tomorrow. Rant over. Other than the saving mechanic, I really do like the game. I am very much appreciative that this isn't another zombie or whatever survival horror. The atmosphere, alone, is good enough. I can easily see how playing a bunch of this game will get you really attached to your wagon I won't refund it. Maybe the devs will cave and give us a temp save or someone will mod it in.
  6. Almost guessed that one round earlier Wordle 979 4/6* ⬜⬜🟩⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Blue category has me stumped Connections Puzzle #257 🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟪🟦🟪🟦 🟦🟪🟦🟦 🟦🟦🟦🟦 🟪🟪🟪🟪

  8. I'm shocked we're getting a new Endless Ocean. I really liked both games on the Wii and assumed we'd never get another one. Random tangent, but I'd love an Endless Ocean like game in VR. The ones I've tried are either some sort of stressful survival game or some ocean exploration game where you just look at fish and there isn't some story or mystery to uncover.

  11. Hey, we're getting a second season. More ‘Pokémon Concierge’ Episodes Are Coming to Netflix VARIETY.COM More 'Pokemon Concierge' episodes are coming to Netflix. Did nobody else watch this? I watched the first season with my kids, but kids need not apply here. The first season was so good. It's just a nice, cozy, slice of life with Pokemon. Come on, Pokemon Company. Nintendo has already made a bunch of felt games for like Kirby and Yoshi. Where's my felt Pokemon game to go along with my felt Pokemon animated series?
  12. Yeah, but while the N64 and Virtual Boy struggled they had the GB and GBC. While the Gamecube struggled, they had the GBA. while the Wii U struggled they had the 3DS. Even their bust years had some steady stream of cash coming in. Yeah, the N64 didn't sell much, but that's also the same year we got Pokemon.
  13. Gah, almost had this one in two and changed my mind. Wordle 975 3/6* 🟨🟨⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟨🟩🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 The colors denote difficulty? Guess I'm not paying attention. Connections Puzzle #253 🟪🟪🟪🟪 🟨🟨🟩🟦 🟦🟦🟦🟦 🟨🟨🟩🟨 🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩

  15. This right here is the biggest thing future generations have to worry about. If entry level jobs are hard enough to come by these days, it'll only get that much worse in the future.

  19. All of us...some of us...a few of us...at least one of us went through the mall ninja, and spent all their allowance on ninja stars, period. As soon as you recognize that Carnage is just edge lord mall ninja weaponry, he makes sense. I did NOT say he's any good. Just that he makes sense.
  20. Sony could make me really happy and release a standalone VR headset for gaming and wireless PS/PC play. I'd love to see something that's price competitive not from Meta.
  21. Full potential, because they weren't splitting their focus. The Switch add a "home console" is a successful turn after the Wii U, but the Switch is also just the next generation of a long line of very successful handheld consoles. We can talk about Nintendo's rough generations, but they've also never had anything more than a year or two where they didn't have some piece of hardware printing money. This is true, but I don't think this is true on the business end. Nintendo is a very well run business. They might not focus much on trying to inflate stock prices, but they do have a good understanding of their long term goals and do pretty well to not have to layoff devs while also maintaining industry leading employee retention rates. Nintendo has what? Like a 99% retention rate with the average length of employment more than a dozen years? There is definitely something in the water there.
  22. I mean, Mario Kart 8 did sell like 8.5m copies on the Wii U. Sure, nowhere near 60m copies it's sold in the Switch, but I don't think Nintendo considers 8.5m sold for any of their games not a success. That's kind of the thing with Nintendo. More than most other publishers, they do a great job keeping their expectations in check and budgeting accordingly. I wish Nintendo shared game budgets. I'd love to know how much a big JRPG like Xenoblade Chronicles cost to make.
  23. I'll take it Wordle 970 4/6* ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ ⬜🟨🟨🟨⬜ ⬜🟩⬜🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I enjoyed this one Connections Puzzle #248 🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟪🟪🟪🟪 🟦🟦🟦🟦 🟩🟩🟩🟩
