  1. Here is an example of what I was talking about from a few years ago. "Hacking groups such as FIN8 are actively exploiting vulnerabilities in gas station point-of-sale networks to skim card data without the need for modifications at the actual pumps. In one of the incidents, Visa discovered how the hackers first sent a phishing email sent to an employee. The email contained a malicious link that, when clicked, installed a remote access Trojan on the network granting network access. Once the POS environment was successfully accessed, a Random Access Memory (RAM) scraper was deployed on the POS system to harvest payment card data." Gas stations have become a target for hacker groups, warns Visa WWW.PETROLPLAZA.COM A recent security alert by Visa details how hacking groups are targeting gas stations to skim card data due to their vulnerabilities. | PetrolPlaza The gas station near me is....not the cleanest/fanciest place and the people barely speak english. So it wouldn't surprise me their network is shit.
  2. Where it's being used doesn't make any difference. My dad's charge came from Georgia. My first charge was somebody magically using my debit card through CashApp in California. I've never even used/installed Cash App. I still have my sights set on this Exxon though because I know someone that works at the nearby police station. We got to talking and I brought up my suspicion of the place and she said "I really can't give details.......but don't use cards at that gas station, we've been looking into them for a while".
  3. I'd be willing to bet money your debit card was compromised locally. Do you frequent a certain store/gas station often? My bank account has had fraudulent activity twice in 4 years now. The first time I'm positive was at an Exxon gas station by my house. My dad has an Exxon credit card that had a fraudulent charge pop up and a week later I got one on my debit card. We both used that gas station pretty frequently. I had police check out the pumps but they didn't find anything. Seems like a hell of a coincidence though. I read a story somewhere that there doesn't even have to be a skimming device on the pumps or indoor registers, but their network can be compromised and the info is being stolen somewhere else in the chain.
  4. I guess my big question is were you given a debit card after the first fraud and did you use it?
  5. Nice impressions. GOTG3 is the one I'm most excited to see. Captain Marvel can kick rocks. Had to force my way through the first one because of Endgame. Not sure what they could do in a part 2 to make me care.
  6. Not to take away from the seriousness of the story, but I misread the title as "Volcano erupts in Iran after woman dies...". Been a long day.
  7. I think i have an irrational fear of getting injured or seeing someone get injured. I remember being younger and my dad saying how one day he stepped up on to a high porch and tore the meniscus in his knee. I remember thinking to myself "it can be that easy!??". Other times if I see people lifting really heavy weights I'm always thinking the worst that might happen if a weight slips or something. It doesn't stop me from doing anything. It's more of a mental struggle.
  8. I always forget GTAV was a PS3/Xbox360 game. That is crazy. There is no doubt Rockstar will add as much fog as necessary to get the game running for all those PS4/Xbone users.
  9. Bunch of clips all over YouTube. I'm not really surprised or excited by much that I've seen so far. Even though it doesn't have its final graphical polish, I still wonder if it will look much better than some of the GTAV mods that are out there. And if they are targeting the older consoles that kind of sucks. Makes sense financially but seems like it's going to hold the game back in some way.
  10. Sony is fucking horrible at surfacing limited time stuff like this demo. I was on the PSN store last night just browsing around and never saw any mention of it. Would have downloaded it immediately.
  11. First I'm reading the thread about EVGA not making video cards anymore, now I'm seeing this thread for the first time....Feel like I fell into a different time line here. This movie sounds lame.
  12. If there are directions on how to make some extravagant dish, I can follow them and it pretty much always comes out perfect. I find indoor cooking super easy having cooked for years. It's the outdoor grilling thing over charcoal that gets me sometimes.
  13. Sounds good to me. The last few years I don't enjoy the huge drop all at once. Something about consuming 10-12 hours of content in a day or two doesn't feel good. I kind of missed having the shows randomly pop into my head during the day and wondering what's going to happen next. Seems like such a waste from a business perspective too. Create hours and hours of content only for people to consume it all within a week and be like "well come on, what's next?".
  14. It's.......interesting. Feels over produced at times. Good other times. I don't know if I'll check it out weekly but maybe I'll check in occasionally.
  15. I'll check it out. First episode is 25 minutes so it's not too big of a commitment.
  16. Thank you so much! If the Playstation voucher thing isn't too much trouble, I'd really like Cult of the Lamb ($24.99).
  17. It really is. Especially when people can live stream during an active shooter situation. I can only hope it paves the way for a safer future in some way. More people see and understand the horrors. Hopefully lead to something positive.
  18. Giantbombs Quick Look is great! It might actually be their quickest look ever at only 29 seconds long.
  19. Anybody check the game out? I redownloaded it tonight on PS5. Picked Conquest and was surprised again by how quickly it connected and loaded up. But then I forgot it connects really fast to put you on another screen that says waiting for more players. It said " 1/128. 32 players needed to start". Sat there for exactly 4 minutes, nothing changed so I just turned it off. I'll try again tomorrow I guess. There are 3 or 4 modes to pick from. Which is the popular one lol?
  20. We ordered a king size bed frame from them last year, cost about $350. It was honestly a perfect experience. I just don't have the highest hopes for the frame to last very many years. I have to tighten up the screws every other month. Lean on the headboard and it makes some creaking noises. We lucked out with no shipping problems, and it was packaged very nicely with a comical amount of protective foam that we had to throw out. I've heard a lot of negative things about them lately though and I doubt I would ever blind buy a piece of furniture again.
