Plot holes or Fortunate Coicidences galore...but a fun movie. Say what you want about the kiss (still on the fence myself) but they sold their sexual tension almost but not quite as good as Han and Leia.....and like 100X better than Portman and Christianson. Really like that they added the young Luke and Leia training sequence. So many people went into the new trilogy confused about that and probably would have been better if JJ had done that in TFA. I do wish Chewie had died.....it was like the whole Marion Ravenwood psyche out in Raiders unfortunately but would have played into their vision of Rey having to deal with her relation to the force and I wish C3PO had lost his memories for good. But I get it....just like the OT they weren't into killing off characters because it's a family film.

Exactly....I graduated right as they rolled out the new MGIBill which straight up pays for a 4 year degree and also gives a stipend of around 1200 a month. My MGIBill barely covered any of it and I had to take out loans......but that's why I gave testimony to change the MGIBill because even though it wouldn't neccessarily help me I knew it would help tens of thousands of future veterans getting out of the service avoid piling on huge debt. Even with my degree I earn more and pay much higher taxes than I would have without it versus many of my relatives back home in Minnesota who basically work jobs like asphalting and road construction and get most of what they pay in back. I suggested to my kids they start a business.....take a 60K loan...and if it fails...at least you can walk away with little damage done.

This is exactly it. A lot of leaks occurred around the toy lines for the mainline star wars films and Disney higher ups were asked not to produce advanced toy lines to keep the spoiler from leaking and they complied and it worked

Except...in the context of a glactic war.....that shit don't make sense. Especially one where the government literally got destroyed the previous couple days prior. Look at the hit to the US Stock market when something small like 9/11 happened. Anticipating market chaos, panic selling and a disastrous loss of value in the wake of the attacks, the NYSE and the Nasdaq remained closed until September 17, the longest shutdown since 1933 You have a freaking war going on where the First Order just obliterated several planets....the entire galaxy should have been reeling wondering who or whats next. Sure you're got a wealth...because you own a planet full of of coaxium......but do you? Maybe the First Order owns it now.....you're not rich anymore. In times of war...especially at the beginning....uncertainty causes the wealthy to withdraw and batten down the hatches....not go all Kardashian. When Lando was running the tibanna gas operation in Cloud City....that was a far more realistic approach to how successful business operated under the empire. I'm not saying you have to go deep into the nuts and bolts of how war works...but it made no sense.

I disagree....that's what undermined Episode 1-3...they pulled the camera too far out on the Space Opera of the politics and war form afar and we lost the more intimate connections we had come to be used to in the Original Trilogy..... And yet when ESB starts we get this It is a dark time for the Rebellion. Although the Death Star has been destroyed, Imperial troops have driven the Rebel forces from their hidden base and pursued them across the galaxy. Evading the dreaded Imperial Starfleet, a group of freedom fighters led by Luke Skywalker has established a new secret base on the remote ice world of Hoth. The evil lord Darth Vader, obsessed with finding young Skywalker, has dispatched thousands of remote probes into the far reaches of space.... That crawl shows that time has passed and a much better desriptor of where we are at....the Rebels have moved operations off planet to an entirely new place and 3 years have passed. 3 years is missing a beat......because at the end of TFA its mere days before TLJ. The whole thing very much felt like the fight between the Resistance and New Order was happening in a vacuum where they were the only ones affected. No one on Canto Bight seemed to even care. or be affected in any way which seems kinda weird considering theNew Republic Govement had just been completely destroyed....which should have some effect

To be fair..my attatchment to Ackbar is because I went as him in one of those boxed store bought Haloween costumes when I was a kid in the fall of 83..... (he was an important enough character to get a mainline Halloween costume.) I mean....look at Bobba Fett for a character with little screen time and huge popularity....hell...just based on Bobba and his background we've got out first live action Star Wars TV series. Holdo meanwhile is brought in as this tactical military leader...and she makes a huge military blunder at the end. When you're fighting a war..you don't sacrifice you're most indispensable leaders unnecessarily when a much lower ranking human or robot will do. (But that's more of an argument about how certain directors have no idea how a military works) As for fan service....so is Spiderman in Civil War....but people loved that shit. I'd argue that its also not fan service when there is continuity......Ackbar was the Admiral that oversaw and ran the space naval engagement against the 2nd Death star. It makes sense for him to be leading the resistance. As much as I love the smaller intimate story within Star Wars.....I also love the bigger War movie.....thats what made Saving Private Ryan so great.....you had this smaller story going on against the backdrop of a larger war which you get to see as in the opening D-Day invasion. It's also an element that made people really like Rogue One As for the Alien representation thing..... In the OT it is represented.....Ackbar and the Mon Cal were represented as this brilliant tactical race of aliens and Bothans were critical in running Covert Ops and wookies were considered non sentient by the Emperor and allowed to become slaves within the inner core systems. Probably the biggest mistake I feel that might have been best avoided by Johnson was setting the 2nd movie so close to the first timeline wise. It really hurt not fully understanding the context of this war within the galaxy it's set in.

Considering the confrontations between Poe and Holdo were entirely contrived in the first place as merely a means to develop his character at her expense....I'd be fine with that. They just neededa way to show Poe growing into a leader and then when that was done disposing of her character. Also...it would have fit better with Ackbar since the Empire was the one that had a thing against non humanoid Officers......and that's what made the Rebellion/Resistance distinctive. Johnson never understood that aspect of Star Wars at all.

Count Dooku's ship the Solar Sailer was flown by a droid in the series. IG-88 flew the IG 2000. (We don't see him fly it in ESB, but he's at the meeting with Vader and we know the other bounty hunters flew there in their own ships ala Bobba Fett abd Slave One) Also..Obi Wan is quoted as saying I mean....even having Ackbar do it would have been better rather than introducing Holdo

He could have had they replaced Admiral Holdo with him in the last film (which would have made far more sense).....now that would have been a great send off to his character.

I literally turned Horizon Zero Dawn down to Easy and I'm still only a quarter way thorugh it...played for like 7 hours last weekend.....I'm just really slow at these game

I don't need 4K.... I just want to at least be able to get to 1440P on a 6.8 inch screen. I definitely noticed the increased sharpness and broader color gamut while testing side by side. The Youtube 4K Costa Rica video is perfect for doing the test btw For the same price..why not get more lol.....that's like saying you don't want a 90hz display over a 60hz display in your phone at the same price point.

I love it. The fast USB-C charger in the box takes it form 0 to full in an hour and 10 minutes. I can go to 60% in a half hour. The screen is pure sex....it would have been 11 out of 10 if it had 90hz refresh though..but it's nice to watch Youtube video at higher quality than on iPhone. Pixel 4 looks like it's shaping up to be a winner too.

Double Posting....Story Time Wow...so still torn and on the fence I showed up at Verizon at 9:45 Am this morning 15 minutes before it opened.....there were 2 guys in line....thats it. Last year same location about 30 people and the year before over 100. So anyway..we go in and I start looking at my options and they don't have the Midnight Green in stock at all......so I was like..this is a sign....told the guy tell ya what....get me the Samsung Note10+. Apple can fuck off for the year. I've got an iPad that I like so I'm not leaving the park....just the Wild iPhone Ride. The last non Apple phone I had was the Galaxy S3. Anyway....I was just feeling super pissed at Apple today No USB-C Charging Still can't view higher than 1080P video on Youtube No attempt to shrink the Notch Kudos on WiMax6 in device, but the radios still suck and reception in buildings is a pain. Apple Needs to get its shit together and stop beefing with Qualcom, Samsung, and all their other vendors. Next Year I'll go back to Apple if I see things like USB-C Charging No Notch App Support for Google Stadia or MS XCloud 5G 90hz display And now I have to watch some Youtube to figure out how to set this phone up right. Did you get it? I e got the Alienware because it looked better at MicroCenter when I did head to head. I had to manually set it to 120hz though but that was just a one time thing

I'm suprising my wife with this one.....did it last year with Game Night..and that was a fantatstic funny movie that came out of nowhere

what i really want to know.....is if XCloud gonna work with Apple phones.....clearly google is gonna drop stadia on Pixels first..and then rollout to other Android phones...but will it or XCloud work with iPhone or iPad....i use Moonlight right now and PS4 can stream games from anywhere to my iPAD, but Steam was cut off.
