The only one I really fully wanted was an Obi Wan movie with Ewan McGregor. That would have fit in perfectly with the age of the actor and a period of time that was interesting. But...we've got Star Wars related TV series so thats good.

Looked Great....can't wait. Looks like a McGuffin hail marychase is all they got though...the First Order destroyed the entire New Republic Government...then is destroyed the entire New Rebel Alliance......the entire military leadership other than Leia was killed off... Hypothetical.....the Emperors first big test for Anakin was having him deafeat and decapitate Dooku..his public face. Was having Ben decapitate Snoke..the Public face of the First order a test as well? I mean...the Emperor should have some trust issues with the Skywalkr line after what Anakin did to him ultimately... Or just some random stuff that I'm thinking way too hard on because I'm bored. It wouldn't be out of line with the whole Skywalker line being Papatine's doing by manipulating midichlorians or some such. Maybe the Rise of Skywalker refers back to this. Anyway..can't wait.

I like it for games, but I also have a lenovo mirage camera which works really well with Occulus Go for looking at my VR180 Pics and Video I take with it.

I feel that a small part of this is Hollywoods fault. They are the ones that have taken a sledgehammer to the theatrical release. I come from a small town with a small town 2 screen theater (I actually remember when it got its second screen) and absolutely loved watching movies there. In the laste 90's Hollywood changed and started requiring 3 week comitments to first run movies and this really hurt small town theaters because they just don't have that type of volume and it severely limits the amount of movies that can be seen...especially during summer blockbuster season. On top of this came the new digital distribution of films that studios required which meant expensive upgrades. My Hometown theater bit the dust around 2013 as did many others in the same position. That said ..for rural areas that meant a lot more homes getting larger screens with ATMOS and HDR to enjoy closer to how they were meant to be enjoyed...it also meant that the concept of going to the theater is disappearing as well.

I disagree with Klobuchar. She's always been just left of center in Minnesota and consistent in that. She has a pretty high popularity rating across both rural and city voter bases there and has been able to maintain that, which in our current political climate is no easy feat, but there's a lot of overlap with Sherrod Brown which is another great possibility..but he isn't officially in the race at this point. I feel like Biden(if he runs) is gonna end up with Bernie as the last two standing and we get to re-hash Clinton/Sanders.

I'm still not understanding why Vice Admiral Holdo needlessly killed herself at the end of the movie for no apparent reason. This is a Universe where you've got the likes of C3-PO and IG-88 running around and piloting ships and being employed as assasins and acrrying out covert missions...... It was a sacrificial death just for effect that was just....odd when you looked back on it. Also...even Star Trek got it right 17 years ago....damn...I would have loved to see C3-PO got out like a badass

The Democratic race looks like it's gonna be one huge clsuterfuck at this point and the effort to drum up controversies around each of them is gonna backfire when people start really saltng each other over their preferred candidate. We're moving away form debating the merits of their positions and are merely uses memes as shorthand to disavow ,promote or otherwise entertain ourselves. Unfortunately it's propaganda that seems to work well on older voters. That's why I'm choosing to avoid using the medium on social media and here this election cycle.

I think the plain and clear fact is that each of these candiates has their pro's and cons. The best idea here is for them to put forward what they support and what they envision while they..and their supporters do not attack one another. What looks good in a Primary can be used against them effectively in a General election by Trump. (als the HRC/Bernie stuff) (also reposted from my discord) These hot takes, tweets, snippets are gonna just poison the well.

As much as I like Bernie....that age is a factor. He's 77. There are extremely good odds he doesn't even live to see the election. I just hope the Dems have a solid back up plan if he kicks the bucket prior to the election. Apparently his parents died on the younger side..his dad at 58 and his mother a bit younger...and he doesn't seem to be that incredibly fit. But uh...yeah...it's definitely something that should be on the periphery of the conversation.

Good Point. I do wonder how much our "fight against communism" affected that during those years though. I don't neccesarily feel that people under 50 and especially under 30 are gonna use the Cold War against you if you support socialist policies.

I'm assuming it would be a waste of time to have economic tiers in this due to the fact that you are likley applying the parents wealth to the child and not their own economic position. All they'd have to do is file taxes as an individual and they would claim the status.

Do you disagree that there is value in Community College and Vo-Tech skilled trades training? If you do..then disagree and put it out there. Do you feel that Bernie Sanders Medicare for all plan will pass through the House and Senate easily...then say it. Obama had the House and Senate and based on how much trouble he had with ACA...I myself just don't see it at this time until the House and Senate get solid Democratic majorities. For the record..I am not pro or negative any Dem Candidate....whoever gets the nom I will vote for. My discussion is purely about the different approaches they are taking. Klobuchar is one of the few that are taking the Centrist approach and I find that interesting. One thing I will not be doing is attacking any of them with memes and hot take snippets because I feel that with such a crowded race..you can alienate a lot of voters by doing so.

Are you referring to the Trump Presidency? I dunno. I definitely think we are setting up a nice turn to the left (especially on social issues) when the Millenial majority and Gen Z voters really start coming out to the polls, but I feel that based upon the boomers..we still got about a decade before certain Democratic Socialist policies can be pushed hard.

This is why Trump is gonna win. Dumbed down liberals more into twitter burns instead of elaborating on positions. She put it out there last night...she ain't gonna blow smoke up your ass and promise things she knows she can't deliver. She's taking positions that she feels that she has a good chance of delivering on. Improving Obamacare, free community and vo tech college, re-enetring the Paris climate Agreement day 1. These are positions she feels that she can work with Congress to craft and push through legislation.

(Meaning no personal offense) What I feel is insane is a hot read on a sound byte. I watched the whole thing and her position is that Community colleges and vo tech colleges should be free, but not 4 year Universities at this time. I don't feel that's a bad take....a lot of 4 year colleges lead to useless degrees and loads of debt right now for students, while Community colleges are offering a better return on money invested and offer less risk to younger people who are on the line about comitting to college or a degree. Skilled trade jobs are offering pretty good salaries and immediate employment. It's also a pragmatic approach and more likely to pass through the House and Senate than the "free college for all plan" at this time. IMO I think the best idea would be to push for this and then it's normalized expand it to 4 year degree programs as I feel that this approach is a better approach. the same for her plan to fix Obamacare instead of roll out an entirely new Medicare for all plan at this time.

Binge watched the first season and enjoyed it even though it was definitely more movie melodramatic Trek. Since I watched all of season 1 in just 2 days last week and then immediately watched S2 Ep 1......I got tonal whiplash. Even with the pump the brakes approach and lightening the mood....some of the things they did in the first season paid off. I mean...we've seen bad guy mirror universe representations of almost all the Captains.but never really the effect on the crews afterwards in regards to trust (although the whole Picard/Locutus issue did have some lingering after effects, but they were still toned down) It was nice to see Pike in the chair. They did a great job with the charachter and the Easter Eggs were fun.....my favorite was the uniforms. Going forward...I hope we get to expand on the bridge crew even more this season versus bringing in newer characters, but I'm all good either way .
