  1. https://www.propublica.org/article/a-medical-worker-describes--terrifying-lung-failure-from-covid19-even-in-his-young-patients Sounds like absolute hell.
  2. Sorry you're going through that, I'm familiar with that feeling (minus nurses and therapists blowing it off and quoting flu statistics). We've always had a low threshold for covid ICU admissions, and we’re just about to find out final cohorting and surge plans. Still not sure if we have a staffing plan other than a voluntary labor pool. I hope for your sanity and the patients’ sake things start to get better.
  3. One of the nurses I work with has flu-like symptoms, unsure if he has COVID and wants to get tested. He called his provider and was told he can't get tested because there aren't enough tests. Still. The next few months are going to suck - for the elderly, immunocompromised, healthcare workers, first responders, everyone... UGH.
  4. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/03/05/asia/china-coronavirus-wildlife-consumption-ban-intl-hnk/index.html Seems like some wildlife farms have already been shut down. Hopefully this isn't just small talk (but who am I kidding!).
  5. Somewhat of the same experience at my hospital. The attending has to run all suspected patients through the incident command center, who then discusses it with the county, then we get approval for the patient's identification number a few hours later. Results have come back within 24 hours. Great news though (/s): county can only review during business hours, otherwise you gotta wait. Oh, and we send the sample to the county also so gotta wait all weekend if the sample is sent on a Friday. To be fair, I don't know the exact details and comments that occur from the attending on, but I know there's frustration. The non-cynical side of me thinks there's some form of resource preservation going around. Based on CDC's current guidelines, they are stating covid patients require to be cared for in a negative-pressure room (which also requires the N95 masks). But knowing the incompetence of this administration, it's more likely that there is no clearly disseminated plan from the government.
  6. I was still at the bedside in a medical icu during the ebola outbreak a few years back. Screening and preparing for Covid almost seems like an afterthought (at least from what I'm noticing) compared to what we did for ebola. everythingisfine.gif Edit: I'm in California.
  7. Not necessarily. The Rift S recommended specs are i5-4590/ryzen 5 1500x. We recently got the Oculus link cable for our Quest and it's pretty sweet.
  8. Might be late to the party, but for the PVPers, the grind to Legend on freelance is tolerable. I had the best luck mid-week around 6pm Paciifc. Matchmaking is strange how some games are crazy sweaty with some cake walks sprinkled in. Not complaining, don't know if my heart could take the grind's worth of it.
  9. Really digging pvp. Just started the campaign but what I've played is pretty fun.
  10. But how do you do it? I thought it was just removing the s in https but that's definitely not the way. E: thanks b_m
  11. http://mobile.twitter.com/jennyrachelpal/status/1169360331686236160 E: Bah gawd, how does one imbed a tweet on mobile? 🤷‍♂️
  12. Decided to hop on the PC game. M&K is definitely something else. Anybody else on the PC, feel free to add me (same as on PS4, emalider). Being the only one on my friends/clan list does not feel goodman. E: New to Battle.net. It's emalider#1157 if that makes a difference.
  13. Beat Scourge yesterday (yay) and I’ve heard Crown is a bit tough. If you need a sixth, I’m down for trying to run it.
  14. Holding judgment on this, more info seems to be coming out. (https://www.google.com/amp/s/heavy.com/news/2019/07/eric-sparkes/amp/) Either way we lose - a state representative fabricating a story or a dude trying to pull a fast one.
  15. Dang. I'm only halfway for some of these seals (thought they were badges until I checked the destiny app). Time to get on that grind...
  16. Not sure if y'all still raid but I need completions on pretty much all of 'em. That MMXIX and Shadow badge..... 😎
  17. http://mobile.twitter.com/tonyposnanski/status/1150890076550979584 😂 (Totally inept at embedding)
  18. Those comments are beyond pathetic. Must be a really shitty life to be so angry at AOC.
  19. I'm in the same camp as @Spawn_of_Apathy that anything less than viable is a parasite. Viability can occur around weeks 24 - 25. Just did a quick search and it looks like Laci Peterson was at least seven months pregnant, which explains the double homicide.
  20. EVGA black edition 2080ti checking in, on that 1440p widescreen doe.
