Yeah, undertale was a great game and one of the best meta-games I've played. My only gripe about it is that if you play it and are in on what it is doing, you can easily go down a less interesting and satisfying path than the no kill route.

How could anyone not.

While the maker of these videos obviously has an axe to grind and clearly isn't the best at decision making, these videos have convinced me that this game is not just vaporware but also a wannabe cult.

This game has SO MUCH content. I finally dipped my head into PVP and it was surprisingly fun. Far fewer people started the game in reverse than I expected and I was able to hold my own better than I had anticipated. You guys are talking like you have a lot of money, but I find myself more or less constantly poor. How are you getting up to 10 mil when most races are netting like 5k? Also, I'm starting to understand tuning and am watching videos on car recommendations for each class. It is shocking how much the horse matters for the course. I am running away against the AI with my S1 2008 Viper.

General Gaming Left Alive - Release Date Announcement Trailer (PC/PS4)
Moa replied to Pikachu's topic in The Spawn Point
I'll wait for the same quel, Left 2 Live. -
The enemy AI looks very 1999, nothing has weight, this looks like a mod. On the plus side, the world looks detailed. I don't think I have seen a game of this scale with so many building interiors. As someone who has been perpetually annoyed by being unable to enter buildings in games, it is cool to see that most buildings don't appear to be window dressings.

I had been cautiously optimistic about this game, but it is starting to look like they removed what people like about the fallout games and forgot to make the combat even remotely passable. I was hoping that they would bring AAA polish to the rust-like genre, a hope that I now realize was delusional since Bethesda couldn't polish a shoe, but now this looks as watered down as a happy hour margarita.

Nintendo WSJ: Nintendo to release new version of Switch in 2019
Moa replied to Commissar SFLUFAN's topic in The Spawn Point
The switch is a very cool console but it is also a pretty unpolished piece of hardware, and I hope Nintendo can greatly improve on it and also produce better quality consoles at the start of a generation in the future.- 54 replies

PC The 25 best multiplayer games on PC (RPS)
Moa replied to Commissar SFLUFAN's topic in The Spawn Point
Other than being controversial and generating clicks, the point of lists is to provide recommendations to a broad audience. I would not recommend Sc:bw or remastered to someone who doesn't already play bw or have nostalgia for it.- 24 replies

PC The 25 best multiplayer games on PC (RPS)
Moa replied to Commissar SFLUFAN's topic in The Spawn Point
Lists are fundamentally garbage and meant to stir shit, but they got at least two things right. Dota is great, and TF2 > OW.- 24 replies

Microsoft Rumor report: Ponies have woken the sleeping giant

I think that arriving late to the party made my experience of the first game much better, but I also have no self-control and am going to play the hell out of this. I was ambivalent about the entire prospect of a named sequel since that is a hell of an act to follow, and I have some concerns about whether or not the game will feel fair without the time travel mechanic, but I also have tremendous faith in the developers after they managed to package startling nuance into Captain Spirit. I could, have, and will talk for days about these games, but I figure I should just go play it first. Update: Excellent start. Spoiler regarding whether or not to play the game as it comes out or wait for it all to come out One of the best things about LiS and Before the Storm was that I felt like the actions and emotions of the characters mirrored how I felt playing the game, meaning that I knew that it was a decisions matter game so I felt as uncertain, cautious, and over-analytical playing the game as Max's character was portrayed throughout the game. I am feeling much the same closeness and empathy towards Sean as I did with Max, Chloe, and Chris, so I feel like I personally can take responsibilities for what the character is doing.

Yeah, I've definitely bought and given away 10+ copies of the first game. Unfortunately, with the game having gone on sale so frequently and the first episode becoming free, owning the game is no longer the main impediment to playing it. I am very apprehensive about playing the sequel to the greatest game of all time, but I am looking forward to doing so tomorrow.

eSports US Army turns to esports after missing annual recruiting goal
Moa replied to Commissar SFLUFAN's topic in The Spawn Point
AA was dope. -
The point of these videos is not to tell you the specifics. When they want to show you the specifics they will. This will likely happen between now and when the game comes out. The point of these trailers is not to sell you the game. When they want to sell you the game they will show you what you want, but for now they just want to remind you that it exists and get you talking about it again. Please forgive the truisms, but it seems like between this and Cyberpunk 2077 everyone has forgotten what a development cycle looks like. Grass grows, birds fly, sun shines, and brother, Kojima teases people.

I'm confused by the general reaction to this. While it doesn't show how the game plays, it definitely shows more of what you're going to be doing in the game. This trailer is pretty concretely a lead-in to a sequence where you run/hide from a dog-like monster, a thing you've done countless times in videogames before. It isn't weird or confusing in any way. I get that it is annoying that this game continues to be vaporware. I personally have gone from excited, to frustrated, to having completely forgotten this game exists, but the whole "what even is this game" makes no sense to me. It's a third-person action stealth game from Hideo Kojima that is going to be similar to those other games he made. You don't need to go through an ARG to figure out what was always obvious.
