  1. I was gonna come in and ask if this was good or bad news... I got the answer pretty quickly.
  2. lol But the only BR I would have cared about and it was killed before it even hit early access.
  3. As long as it is very pink idc what pink it is
  4. Anime is pink because anime is gay.
  5. I think it is weird that for once I am not the one complaining. I am a massive complainer, it is what I am good at. But I am happy with the changes... The YT videos need to embed at a smaller size, but shit is looking good. If they have to be one color then it isn't too bad I suppose, but they should stay for sure. I can see why people don't like the lucky charm aesthetic tho.
  6. The only thread I thought should be pinned was the reading one. Like, if your post is more than just a number and a "I liked it" "I hated it" then make feel free to make a thread about it and discuss shit.
  7. Looking good guys. This fresh start is really bringing some good shit.
  8. The demo is underwhelming as every single story starts out cliche AF and every character plays the same, at least this early on. At this point in the game the combat is noting more than abuse the weakness, and I also doubt that changes. The shielding system makes you play that way. And about the story being cliche AF: A country boy sets out on an adventure to do good. A sneak thief gets caught and has to help out the people who caught him. A scholar sets out to solve a 15 year old mystery. A small town girl wants to see the world. A failed knight sets out to get his revenge on a traitor. A fallen noble turned prostitute finally finds one of the people who killed her father. There are two more characters I need to see the intro for but... yeah
  9. I have done every Chapter 1 story line except for the cleric. The hunter's intro is the only where the people talk like that. It is fucking dumb. For me the best starting area is the Apothecary or the Scholar. If I get the game, I am going to go in this order: Apothecary > Thief > Hunter > Cleric > Scholar > Merchant > Warrior > Dancer
  10. People could make it the anime thread, but I don't thin it is going to be pinned cuz there are already like 4 pins. And Wrestling was way more active than anime and not even that has a pin so... yeah
  11. Oh hey Dan. How's it going? You (and the wife?!?!?!?) going to the movies later tonight? Yeah, Marci mentioned it. I'm gonna see it sometime next week. Yeah, alright. See ya at lunch!
  12. Not gonna lie, am also basing this off of you avatar and my past associations with people who might also use this avatar. So, your name is Ryan. Like, it isn't even a thinking process. I instantly think Ryan. And there are also two types of Ryan's. The ones that are Trash and the ones that are not. You are not trash. I swear for every not-trash Ryan there a two trash Ryans.
  13. So far, that is the only character who talks like that. The rest are pretty standard for this type of game. And I like the NA Scholar over the JP one. What I mean is that some of there characters have altered personalities in the NA version. The localization really changed shit up, and not really in a good way. It is to the point where I don't think I can even use the JP audio as it just isn't watching what I am reading. I actually have been using the NA voices and only testing out the JP ones. The voice direction also causes a big difference. That Scholar and Apothecary are prime examples of this. Feels like a whole different character depending on what voice over you use. It might be better to just turn off voices all together. At this point I wish there simply wasn't a VO at all.
  14. If you haven't watched Life Cycle of an Anime Fan you should. It is kinda spot on even if the order varies for mer personally. When I did start watching anime it was Pokemon. I even got the VHS tapes as Christmas gifts. As I got a wee bit older I tried watching as much anime on Toonami (before the AS version) as I could. The issue with that was that I could not keep up with the episodes and could never keep up with any of the plots. Outside of Toonami there was shit like Medabots and Zatch Bell that my brother and I loved watching and owned a good amount of toys/cards from both series. In early middle school is when I started watching most of the "good anime," Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, and some other ones. I bought a few Inuyasha dvd boxsets and all 26 trigun episodes. I also bought a few other series that I would never watch now. Like, Girls Bravo. Complete shit that one. I originally thought that my anime consumption had slowed down in middle school and most of high school, but it actually didn't. I just didn't actually consume all that much in the first place and it was over showed by how many games I was playing. That is the vast majority of anime and manga I actually own. The rest is here and there, as I do own every Spice and Wolf Season and Light Novel. Clannad also isn't shown. Also, DearS totally gave me a slave girl fetish, btw. And most of this was bought in 8th-9th grade. No, not he Gears books. Still, this isn't all that much in the grand scheme of things. It wasn't until like 11th or 12th grade when I really got into anime. That is mostly due to netflix. There was a shit ton of dubbed anime on there. Spice and Wolf, Clannad, Full Metal Panic, Chobits, Dragonaut: The Resonance, and more that I can't remember. Clannad was what really gave me that first feeling of "the void." This was also the start of my love for anime games. It was at this point where Netflix just wasn't having enough anime to watch. So, I found other ways to watch anime. Code Geass was one of the first anime I watched on my computer, where everything before was on Netflix(360), TV, or I just bought it at Best Buy. It also gave me "the void" feeling and I still consider it to be one of the best anime of all time. The ending was just too perfect. Even still, at this point my anime consumption wasn't too bad. Then I saw High School DxD. Before High School DxD, everything I watched was dubbed. I was just browsing the net one day and I came across a .gif and a naked red headed anime girl with giant anime titties. And shit that was it. I watched it Subbed and that started everything. I watched anime series after anime series. I could no get enough. I started hating dubs and now I can't stand them. I watched so much fucking garbage, but I didn't even know it. I was in love. In total I have watched somewhere between 130-200 unique anime series. It is a wide range, but I never really kept track of this shit I was watching until I was deep in it. While some more hardcore anime lovers will say that isn't a lot, it fucking is. And that isn't even including the amount of manga I started consuming when I first started getting tired of anime. Also, there is a fair amount of shit that has over 100 EP. I have finished Bleach, watch all of base Naruto, and then watched 500 of One Piece twice. With One Piece I watched the first 500 episodes, and then I thought that wasn't enough so I watched it all over again. So it is 1K or 500 twice. And there is also Ippo which was great. Then in 2015-2016 I kinda got burnt out. And I haven't really watched or finished any series since then, manga included. I switched over to reading translated Chinese and Japanese Light/web novels but there aren't that many of those in comparison to anime. Although some of the Chinese ones had hundred of chapters per series and they still aren't over and now over over 1k chapters. I have really slowed down on that as well as the Japanese ones don't get translated fast enough, and the Chinese ones really drag out their content and have lots of BS padding. I didn't even know books could have padding. Now it is June 26th, 2018 and I don't really watch anime. I haven't started a new series or went back to watch an old one at all this year. I tried watching an anime or three in 2017 but there wasn't one I finished. I won't say I am done with anime, but it will take something really special to get me to watch another anime. Maybe Spice and Wolf Season 3, lol.
  15. The anime tag prefix doesn't seem to exist yet.
  16. I am more fine with it if it makes sense. Like the Chocobo one is OK I suppose. But it is especially the ones that are just straight up shit, like seahorses, that grind my balls into the dirt. But I don't like ones that are like "Hold on to your race specific body part, boyz!1!!!!1!!!!" The only time it is really fine is if it is done for comedy. Like if the TMNT said "Hold on to your pizza" then that is OK but saying "hold on to your shell" would be dumb. Over all tho, I rather it not happen at all. The game just feels over localized at that point and I don't like it. Just say shit in normal English. BTW, @Xbob42 This is the old English I don't like. This is the biggest example of it. Like, FFS. Start at like 20 seconds if you don't want to wait.
  17. That's just a remix of the E3 shit. I don't think there was an new footage. There literally no game play in this game play video.
  18. Just saw the fighter and black panther today for the first time. The Fighter was OK, no desire to really watch it again. D+. Passing means you did OK. Black Panther was great. I really liked how quiet the final fight was. B+ movie.
